Sig change problems

Hey all, if you are having problems changing your signature, I'm being told that it's due to bad HTML code. So check your links and make sure they work. Also, they have to be framed by quotes before and after the link itself. It has to be that way in both your picture AND your bio link. If your bio link is messed up, you'll get the error too.

So, if you want to link a picture and bio you should use this exact code.

<*img src="http://i42.tinypic.com/2lnab6u.jpg" width="250px"*> <*a href="http://www.mywedding.com/rickjill"<BIO, Updated 4/17*</a>

Remove all 4 stars before you save.

If you don't have a bio and just a picture, just leave off everything after "250px"

I realized too that one problem was when I would tell people use this code and then click Post, it changes the " to some crazy mumbo jumbo. So if that happens I'll come back in and edit.

That's so strange - I remember how much trouble Brie was having. I've never had the number code in mine, either. I guess that automatically shrinks it for you?

Yeah, the 250px is the size. I prefer everyone's to be around 200-300, no more than 300 or it's too big.

That still does not work for me. I still get the error message, and I am 100% certain I typed the HTML correctly. I even had another knottie try my exact HTML, and they were able to post it successfully in their sig.

Sorry to be a downer on the sig solution.

I keep getting the yellow and red error message, even after copying and pasting it exactly as yours, but with my tiny pic jpg code. Grr.

Whit, when I clicked your photobucket pic it says it doesn't exist. That could be the problem. When I clicked all of your other links, none of them worked.

Also, make sure when you copy and paste to check to see if it turned your quotes into an &quot. Sometimes it does that.

Okay, Whit, copy and paste this. Be sure to check all of your quotations because when I hit Post or when you copy it, it might turn quotations into &quot and then you have to go in an change them back to quotation marks. Also be sure to remove all of the *
