Meg I see what you are saying about harassment and I agree. The harassment is what he should be punished for. But I don't think that the punishement should be for him to resign. He should have to take sensitivity courses or do public speaking on sexual harassment in the workplace or something.

Bubba - I'm with you that resigning may not fit the harassment crime, especially if no government resources were used. I think your punishments sound reasonable for someone enaging is some relatively low-level harassment (i.e., not stalking or physically pursuing someone) outside of work, without work resources.

I just added a couple of links, Keeks.

CN: Parent noticed their son was effeminate and liked playing with girl stuff.

They see a commercial about a quack who will "fix" him.

What they do is set up two tables. One with boy toys, and one with girl toys. If he picks the boy toys, mom showers him with praise. If he picks the girl toys, mom is supposed to ignore him at all costs.

It then generalized to home where if he played with boy toys, he got a blue chip, if he played with girl toys, he got a red chip. At the end of the week, he got a beating for every red chip he had. The mother fuckers. This makes me SO FUCKING MAD.

He commited suicide at the age of 38

The kicker? The asshole who was doing the study? Profitted off his case and used him as an example of how his methods "worked." THEN THEN!?!? THEY FIND OUT (the guy who was doing the research, Rekers) IS FUCKING GAY.

Fishy, that's horrible. Some people have really messed up ideas about what is and is not ok (both in terms of whether being gay is ok and whether beating a child is ok).

And Snippy, considering I once got a warning from KA for telling a newb that she should use XP to indicate she'd posted on more than one board, I can't bring myself to be too shocked about any warnings.

Those stories make me so sad Fishy. We talked about it some in the gender vs sex and sexual development disorders during my development class. I know the John/Joan case was talked about. My teacher was very passionate about homosexuality not being a choice and not something you can change. I love her.
