Dear FI-

Hyperbole and a half is hilarious. I'm sorry if you just don't understand why I laugh until I cry at the pictures of a dog thinking of primative thoughts, or the alot, or even why I giggle hysterically whenever I hear the name Kenny Loggins. It must be an an aquired taste. Either that, or your sense of humor is boring. Grr.

Confession: My FI was out of town for his bachelor party over the weekend and my two friends came to visit. As much as I missed him it was nice having the apartment to myself and just hanging out with friends.

AW - My brined turkey turned out good last night! DH had to take it out of the oven because I was at the gym, and I think he left it in a little bit too long but I don't blame him. He then proceeded to cut the turkey breast with a steak knife, which completely pulverized the meat.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this amusement. Phew. My sister and I were breathless and in tears last night laughing at the newest one. It probably doesn't help that we read certain lines out loud to each other, which completely cracks us up. (Such as, Yaaeey! The ground is all weird! I'm a dog!!) Plus, it looks like my old dog. Even better, right?

TCT- I heart that dress.
MH- You have me intrigued to try making this turkey now.

Confession- I've accomplished two things this morning. One of them was for me, and one was because someone from another office called me to do it. I'm a useless employee today. (In all actually, I worked my butt off yesterday, and I'll be swamped tomorrow and friday... so today is my free day since my boss isn't in the office.)

Vent: it kinda makes me want to vomit that my bosses get to go to the Bahamas for 3 days for a work conference. I had to book everything for them, and the amount of money they are spending on *3 days* is INSANE.

Confession: I am finally getting sick of going to the gym. I'm still going, I just think the non-stop going has finally gotten to me. That and the early mornings. I hate early mornings.

Kinda AW: I found the perfect little sewing bag thingy at Michaels to house all my sewing/attire tools for my DOC kit. It's super cute and matches the rolling tote I got to house all the larger items. And it had a 40% off coupon, so it was cheap. Score.

Confession: I am a little too excited about putting this kit together. I think I've said that before, but I'm planning on getting most of the stuff for it next week and I can't wait to put it all away and label everything! Yes, I'm a nerd.

I confess I am drooling over TCT's shoes!

This is kinda a vent kinda I just have to get thoughts out of my head. It may turn out long, don't feel obligated to read I just have to get it out!

A little back story which I may have shared before. My aunts brother and my boss are best friends. They used to be partners but her brother became a judge. After he became judge is when I started working for the firm, but I did get in because of him. My aunt works for her brother.

So back in January when we normally get a yearly raise I was told I am not getting one, only one person on staff is. This person is my friend and completely deserved the raise plus some so no complaints there! , I am the only person on staff that has a Bachelors degree and I make the least amount of money.
So I told Mr. Bossman that I understand if he can not afford to give me a raise (which is BS I am the book keeper and he can afford it!) but I will have to start looking for another job.
I started applying, had one interview where I was told I was over qualified so I kinda took a break.
Last week I applied for a job with the courts. My aunt called me yesterday to tell me my application is on her brothers desk, be prepared because he will be calling my boss and I may be getting a call for an interview.
So I have had all of these thoughts running through my head like "oh crap am I going to get fired because I am applying? did he really not mean he understands if I look elsewhere?!?"
I got to work 10 mins late this morning because of a dentist appointment. When I walked in Mr. Bossman was at the front desk talking to the receptionist. As soon as I walked in he walked into the other room so I am assuming he talked to him.
Now I am walking on egg shells worried I am going to get screwed one way or another!

I confess there has been some major drama going on at work this week. It has shed a lot of light on the higher ups, and has made me realize that as much as I like my actual job, I need to get out.

That, combined with this weather and the fact I'm on night shift, has made me eat my daily caloric intake worth of Cheetos at 9:30 am.
