    And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now.     I'd call it you grasping at straws and trying to make a point that wasn't supported by the article or anything said here for a page and a half while the rest of us argued just because you were being silly.

    I understand the point, but I looking at it from a different perspective. Is it nice to leave your high paying job so others can keep theirs? Yes. I never argued with that. I am just nitpicking the article. I understand it's an unpopular way to read it, but I thought it was worth discussing.

    And that's cool, like I said, it caught my eye too.  But to me, you didn't approach it as "let's discuss" you approached it as "what did she do that was so great.  big eyeroll."

    I think that's where the discrepancies between where you stand and where the rest of us stand are coming in.

    I'm sorry if I came off that way. I really don't think badly of her at all. I tend to be sarcastic & yes it is a sore spot with me based on my work experience.

    And discussing is one thing, but deciding that you know better than the article before the discussion kind of prevents the former from happening.

    See, now if you had said this to begin with, I feel like the conversation would have had a much different tone.  We all have our personal biases.  Part of having them should be recognizing them and working WITH them so you don't allow them to uneccessarily color your opinions.  Or you're at least aware that they're coloring your opinions.

    Really, homegirl is a real bonerkiller and a little bit of an asshole. I'd love to see her downgrade her job for someone else. A downgrade is a downgrade is a downgrade. The lady in the news story didn't HAVE to do anything.

    And tiny, Ang didn't make this personal because she doesn't know you or what you do for a living, she was just making a joke that could have applied to anyone in your shoes making these arguments. YOU made it personal when you talked about how overworked and underpaid you were.
