[QUOTE]Ouch.  I got a sympathy pain for both you and Z.  I've been thinking about flooring and stairs while we look for places.  If we end up reproducing any time soon, it might be a good thing to be on one level.  Hm.

Yeah, it's funny because I've always loved being on the top floor or have wanted a 2 story house, but now with kids, 1 floor is soooo much easier. And I don't have to worry about the kids falling or waking up and going down on their own.
  • Poor baby z. It's very scary to fall during pregnancy. I'm glad you both were okay. I slipped and fell getting out of the shower at 4 months pregnant I was really scared and sore for a couple days. I had called the nurses line and they told me that if I had no cramping or bleeding that I was fine.

  • I sure wouldn't want to run into mica in a dark place!

That photo makes you look very scary

Nervewrecking isn't it? They did a quick heartbeat check when I went in with Z, it was nice to have that reassurance. I was around 7 months pregnant though.<div>Hows mommyhood treating you?</div>

I'm trying to scare the trolls.  Or show off my arms.

I don't own a gun.  I'm probably the least intimidating person IRL.
  • It's a learning experience. Things are getting easier. I wish I had someone around me that's going through the same thing with their child. It would make me feel so much better about everything. DHs aunt went through it twice but it's been 30 years since she went through it and things have changed so much since then.

Ciara, have you found any internet support groups for moms with babies with cleft palates?  I'd think they exist, but who knows.

That being said, I think you're doing great!  Edmund's growing, and he looks adorable.  You've had such a great attitude since he showed up.  :)
  • There are a couple forums that I have found. I just have to break through and start posting there. I'm having a little bit of posting anxiety which I normally don't have. If I would I might find someone in the area that I could meet and talk to face to face and make myself feel better.

I'm guessing that the people on those forums aren't quite as mean as E was in the old days.
  • I have a feeling that it isn't either, I just don't want to sound like a whiny new mom.

I'm sure you wont, if anything they will understand more than anyone :) I don't know if you're still BFing, but have you called the LLLC? they have meetings occasionally, and might know if anyone else is learning the same ropes. Or if your even a tiny bit religious, I really loved my MOPS group when I was back home. Of course those are more for just meeting moms with other babies, but it was still nice :)
