Holy Hangover

Re: Holy Hangover

  • That's cool.  I am considering going to CO the weekend of the 24th-26th to go skiing with H and see him for a weekend.  I was hoping to have an answer about this job thing, but I don't know how long I can keep putting off plans while I wait about it.
  • Morning all!

I'm shot.  H was supposed to get out of work at 12, but one of the supervisors made a stupid error and sent him and his partner out on a call at 12:01 AM (they are allowed to do this, but only if they contact the main base and let them know that this is happening BEFOREHAND).  So H ended up staying until 2:00 AM, he gets paid mandatory double time for those extra hours, and the supervisor who made him stay is probably going to be fired because this is like the fifth time she's done this to the employees.

Unfortunately, H was up sick half the night after it happened, so neither of us got a lot of sleep.  At least it's Saturday and we don't have anything going on until 5 PM or so.

  • YAY for double time... but boo for being sick.  That stinks Bay.
  • That sucks, Bay.  Hopefully he feels better with lots of rest today.

My throat hurts.  :(  Boo for feeling sick on the weekend.
  • Awww, Mica.  I'm sorry you're sick.  Feel better!

Loopy, I think it was more exhaustion than anything else, so hopefully when he wakes up he'll feel a little better.

And holyshit, my upstairs neighbors are having a serious fight upstairs.  I can hear them screaming all the way down here.

  • Abbie i had a great time yesterday too!  So much fun with you ladies and so glad we were able to do it!

MK I can't even tell you how many times I have screwed up my own SSN.  Most things for the military want the service member's number so whenever someone asks for it I just automatically start saying H's.  I get thrown off whenever I'm actually asked for mine and have to think about it for a minute.

I'll have to check that gym out.  I can go to the base gym for free but it's about half an hour away and I know I'll make excuses everytime.  There is one I found near me that's only $20 a month for military so I might just sign up there.

  • Oh man MK we had reservations for that Hilton and then cancelled them! I kinda wish we had stayed there. Oh well, next time.
  • Apparently I am a hoar. :(

    good morning you monsters.

  • Morning Rosie-butt!  Why are you a hoar?

  • Ug I don't want to even think about taxes.  Well, I don't really have to.  I just send everything to ou accountant, but H cashed in his pension and I cashed in my 401K this year (yes, I know, bad bad bad, it was either that or don't pay the mortgage) so we probably won't get any money back.  I didn't add up our income, so it is possible that even with all that, we're still right around where we were last year.

Anyway, I'm on call til 3, so just hanging around the house.  I actually got quite a bit done yesterday around the house, so hoping to finish up some cleaning.

  • KJB - I hope you get done what you want to.  I'm enjoying being lazy.  I'm reading the newbie bride thread.
  • Yeah I probably won't end up doing anything.  I am by nature, lazy.  I do have to run to the post office and the vet to get a cat re-checked for worms.  At least I dont' have to bring the cat :)

  • What's on your menu so far.  I'm hungry.  I can be there in 5 hours.
  • I think I shall try ribs in the crockpot.

  • Oh... they'll be about ready when I get there then.  Yum :).
  • I'm just going to say that dusting is one of the worst household tasks.

  • Well, I fell behind getting to work and getting one student interview in first thing.

But yeah, I'm not crazy about this job anyway.  But I would never quit without something else lined up UNLESS this crazy chick becomes my boss.

We're taking our taxes to a professional because we have to do Federal, Delaware, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.  FML.  And I think we're going to owe a lot for some reason which makes me want to cry.

BUT we did put a deposit down for the cruise my family is going to take in December :)  Royal Caribbean, goes to Haiti, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Cozumel.  We probably shouldn't spend the money, but since we want to TTC this fall this will most likely be the last real vacation we get for a few years so we're doing it.  Hooray irresponsibility! :)

I actually kind of enjoy it with a Swiffer Duster.  Now sweeping?  That makes me homocidal.

  • yay for vacations!
I'm just lazy and moving everything off of shelves to dust just annoys me.  And doing between the spindle things on the staircase.  i really just want to have a cleaning lady come once a month and do all this stuff.  I used to pay my mom to do it, but she hasn't offered lately :)

  • I just made sourdough pancakes.  I need to exercise and go to the grocery store today.  Blech.
  • Yay for vacations!
  • Haha, I drank bourboun last night also. Not feeling too bad today, thankfully. Starting my bass lesson momentarily. Then a whole bunch of errands - grocery store, dry cleaner, paint hunting, then I have to figure out what to do about this rodent who's been chewing on something inside my wall, then I have to do some painting, put away laundry. Blah blah blah
  • Good morning ladies and HOAR.
P&R here.  Just drinking my coffee before I head out to softball practice.  (Gotta love 64 degrees and sunny in February!)

  • I might hate you a little Chrmun. Its -18/-4 here and Lucy has decided that she MUST go out every 3 hours today!!!
  • Yay, TR!  Cruises are the best, you'll have a great time.

P&R, I have to run to the store (and liquor store -- gotta buy beer for the game tomorrow, and since the stupid CT blue laws say I can't buy it on Sunday, I'm prepared for the place to be packed today).

  • I am so glad that not only have I always lived in a state where alcohol is sold on Sundays but also I can buy it at the grocery store.
  • We can buy it at the grocery store, Mica, just not on Sundays or after 9 PM!

I wish the law would change.  It is so stupid.  Pretty sure we're the only state in NE that can't get alcohol on Sunday.
