Good Evening!

Hi!

What'cha doin?

I just finished using the melon baller to make a big ol' fruit salad in a watermelon for tomorrow, cooking bacon for the devilled eggs and burgers, and now I'm being lazy for a bit until it's time to go to the movie theater to see Hunger Games.  I can't believe my H suggested it.  He must love me or something ;)  I'm pumped for the oh-so-bad-for-me popcorn and cherry icee that i must have while there.

  • Heeey. Just spent the last 20 minutes combing out my extensions to see if they were still wearable. They are. Other than the frizz, I almost like them better now than on the wedding. We'll probably go for dinner here in a couple hours, then watching the fights with Brandon and 5 other guys, lol. I might go hang out with one of the guys' girlfriend and her friends. We'll see.
  • Hola!

H and I were far too productive today, so I'm now sitting on the couch doing nothing at all. It's fantastic.  Tomorrow will be cleaning morning before people come over for our grill-out.  I'm also thisclose to punching my dogs if they don't stop whining incessantly. (disclaimer: of course I would never punch my dogs.)

<div>I threatened my cat with "i'm going to eat your frickin face if you don't stop crying" today.  She wanted me to open my bedroom door.  So i totally get it.  :)</div>

FI just caught up on the rest of the Spartacus episodes. Our poor puppy keeps getting sick and we aren't sure what's going on with her. : ETA I caught up on them too. I'm out of it today.

  • Hey, all. I spent the afternoon at a BBQ for my Brownie group. We grilled hot dogs, had ice cream, watermelon, a water balloon fight and a pinata. There were about ten girls with us, and it was actually a good time. We sent them home hyped up on sugar and soaked from their water balloon fight - I think the parents like us a lot less today. ;)

I got a sunburn (boo) after being in the sun for only a few minutes. My skin is really different now that I'm pregnant, so now I'm kind of itchy and annoyed that I'm going to have sore shoulders for the next few days.

I'm home alone tonight since H is up at the cottage helping FIL build a ramp for their new dock. I'm watching "rockumentaries" on Netflix and am quite content to do diddly squat for the rest of the evening. Though, a bowl of Anna's melon-ball fruit salad would be really, really good. I might try and be ambitious and make some. :)
  • Sept you should try some aloe Vera on your sunburn. It does wonders for me!
    imageVacation
  • Yeah, I have some of the aloe gel from the drugstore, but that stuff kind of sucks and dries out my skin. I keep meaning to take a piece of my mom's huge aloe plant and grow it here and I always forget, and on nights like this I'm kicking myself. I have this "miracle cream" from Aloette that really works well, so I've put that on and am hoping for the best.
  • What is going on with pets today? Ike won't shut up in the back yard.

Hi guys. I'm in the process of deleting a lot of old friends on facebook. Those people who I have NO idea why I'm even friends with in the first place. I started with 348 friends today and I'm down to 197 and I still have more letters in the alphabet to go.

  • Pregnancy sunburns suckass. I *never* sunburn, and I've gotten pink a few times already this spring. wtf, baby.

So we finally upped our internet and I have basically unlimited options from Amazon Prime. What crappy movie should I watch tonight while cleaning? I was considering Clueless.
  • Hike, I really need to do that too. Every time I think about I just see what a daunting task it will be and push it off.

Clueless is good. Empire records? Cruel Intentions?

  • nice, hike! I do that every once in awhile. After I graduated college I mass-defriended like 200 people.  Now I just randomly friend people from HS, get caught up my hometown gossip, and delete again. ;)
  • Haha Steph. I do like seeing what's going on with everyone but I don't really want them to see what's going on with me, you know?

It kinda feels good to get rid of them but it's a pain in the ass process. It takes forever.

  • Anna, I want movie theatre popcorn and an icee now.

  • Brokeback Mountain is on there too! ohgod. I haven't seen that since it was first released. I do love me some Heath Ledger.
  • Hi!  I just woke up from a nap and talked to H on the phone.  I woke up super early for some unknown reason this morning so a nap was required.  Noodles & Co is doing a dinner for my apartment community tonight by the pool so I think I'm going to go over and see what that's about.  I've seen brownies mentioned a few times in the past few days and I want some.  I don't have any, but I'm thinking some ColdStone with brownies in it might do the trick later :).
  • Clueless would be a great movie to watch tonight, I think.  I have Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy on disc from Netflix.  I may put that in later.
  • Yum Coldstone. H was wanting it the other night, maybe we'll do that tonight.

I'm debating whether I want to go out and ride or not. I can't get a hold of my friend to see if she's backed out still or wants to go.  I know I need to go though because we're going on a trail ride tomorrow and if I don't get some of his spunk out tonight it's going to be a long ride tomorrow.

  • Is "An Officer and a Gentleman" good? I've actually never seen it. That's free too.
  • mmm Coldstone.

We bought these GINORMOUS  red velvet cupcakes from Costco, so I might just have one of those for dinner.
  • Has anyone attempted to make homemade pasta before? How did it turn out?

  • An officer and a Gentleman IS good Steph.  I really liked it.
  • I used to watch Clueless all the time.
  • I found out last night that Dawson's Creek is available for streaming/instant queue via Netflix now. I may have to hole up on Monday and marathon it.

We bought those last weekend! They're good, but the frosting is pretty sweet - don't eat it too late, or baby will be dancing all night. ;)

<div>That's free streaming on Amazon too.I've now watched the first 10 episodes in the last 3 days ;)</div>
  • One year in college, my friends and I had a 90210/Dawson's night every week.  They were on at the same time so we'd tape on on the VCR (HAHA) and watch whichever one looked like it was goign to be better via the previews live, then watch the taped episode of the other.  Even if we didn't get together on the weekends all the time, we always had Wednesday nights.  It was so fun.  I miss it.

<div>Totally easy.  Even without a pasta roller you can still make nice fettuccini and ravioli without much trouble.  Just make sure you get them thin enough when you roll out the dough.</div>

We're watching the wizard of oz, and I realized how long its been since I actually watched it and how truly messed up this movie is. Imagine you survived a tornado, woke up, and there were all these little people in colourful clothes dancing and singing around you. I would freak the fhuck out!
