1.Right now I'm cooking my rice for dinner and watching the Cowboys game.
2. I don't do wine. But I think you should go for it.
3.Well, I just woke up from a pretty awesome nap. We got up early to help our friends move, then we went and looked at a couple of houses. We looked at a Fannie Mae house, the outside was so pretty. The inside? Not so much. That was disappointing.
I mailed the ones I had done already. I had a bunch of other stuff to mail too. I "stole" my grandpa's Christmas card list to send all his people letters about his birthday coming up in January. I am collecting letters with memories from people to give him for his birthday. We're aiming for 90 "memories" since he'll be 90 years old.
Loopy, it seems like everyone in my family likes to fish except me. So I am used to just bringing along a book or magazine. But I enjoy it, getting out of the house and spending time with loved ones. I spend way too much time on the couch.
We didn't do Christmas cards. I feel like a slacker but I just couldn't get into the mood to get E dressed up and then take his picture and make it into a card I liked to send out. Or get photos made that I could put in cards.
Thanks ski! My sister & her H live right up the road, but they are in NC this weekend visiting our other sister & her family this weekend, so it made sense for me to come home and help out (plus I don't really know how much she's actually helped out thus far). Dad can get by doing the laundry by himself, but he is not a cook unless it involves the grill and it's too cold for him to go turn it on. So I tried to come up with some things he could manage to do before I come back on Thursday.
Loopy-That's a cute idea for your Grandpa's birthday.
Sesh- FI's family likes to fish too. Except we don't live near a lake. He had a cousin who used to live by one in the country. I would just go sit on the dock with them and hang out. But I did not fish.
My goal is to start Christmas cards next year after we are married. My family never sent out cards so I never really thought about it.
Vent: FI has a cold and is not as patient and kind as he usually is. I can understand that. I cannot understand the way he acts irritated if I bring up things to talk about or ask him a question. I just decided to come to the bedroom and watch TV in here. I don't like to be around men when they are sick. UGH!
I have some presents to ship to my friends for their kids (a small book for each one, but a total of 4 packages to mail), so I really need to do that asap.
We are taking a family xmas picture tomorrow, and then I need to finally mail my cards out tomorrow. I also have a package to mail out to my mom and nieces too!
I won't be having a baby in the next year probably, but I guess I didn't realize that you couldn't at least drink during labor. That's just crazy to me especially since some people are in labor for a long time.

Well we didn't get that far as E was born before 4:30am. I did have some ice chips during labor as that was all I really wanted.

<div>I went in at 6:00a.m. and didn't deliver until 12:15a.m. It was a very long time. I was starving and when I was finally able to eat I couldn't keep anything down. It was rough.</div><div> </div><div>That was definitely an interesting read, Ciara. </div>
Re: Saturday night
Loopy, that is such a neat idea. I bet your grandpa will absolutely love it. How thoughtful!
