This is a reminder as to why I NEED to take my damn license exam. The problem is, we will most likely be moving again soon, and generally licences aren't transferable to other states (which is stupid because it's a NATIONAL EXAM). So I keep using that as an excuse to put it. That, and I am terrified of failing and feeling like a big fat loser. i've been putting it off for 2 years now

Kati, we've taken kids from out of state, but it's a mess with the funding streams. We've had a few from out west. It's just tricky having a stable family component when they are at best a plane ride away, but it does happen! And yes. It's private. Which is nice to not have to worry about government cuts and things like that.

Pay for student loans? It's expensive to go to school to get paid that much! I have a lawyer friend who went to Yale and NYU for UG and Law School, respectively, and owes about $250k in loans. She makes a really nice salary, but, they're poor for the time being because of all her loans. They'll be gone soon enough though!
Mike only went to college and he makes more than double what I do. No fair. Although, liberal arts masters degrees do not make a pretty penny at all so I don't expect to make what he does until I have much more experience.
H has a bachelors and makes more than twice what I do. But again, I don't have a full time teaching job. I'm still mad at everyone who told me I wouldn't be able to get a teaching job WITHOUT a masters degree.

True, but if you think about it probably cost just as much to get a MSW as it does to get an MBA How much is an MBA? A masters degree in social work from where I went is 80,000 if you don't do advance standing. In that case it is 40,000 (luckily that is what I did!)

I haven't even taken my LGSW/LSW exam yet. I suck. So it'll be at least 2 more years before I can get my LISW/LCSW.
I'm hoping that when we move this next time, we will stay there for long term and then I'll be move motivated to take the exam. I've received great performance reviews from all of my supervisors and they've all encouraged me to just bite the bullet do it, but I'm so scared of failing it's ridiculous.
I have my fair share of student loans due to going to a private liberal arts college and then deciding to go somewhere where I had out of state tuition, but not near 250,000
