I thought the top was cut a little small, but that just meant I had to order up a size. Otherwise I liked it.

Are we still playing? I have been gone all day, and clearly have missed some fun. My MoH found the dresses at DB and at first I wasn't sure but they all tried them on and we ended up really liking them. In fact, the bronze/black damask pattern became a theme of sorts for the wedding.

Here's mine:

I did have them the first time I got married, but I doubt there's any pictures online of dresses from 2000/2001. The color was amethyst, and they were separates (that was a new thing then).

I actually think most bridesmaids dresses now are pretty nice. I looked through like 4-5 pages on our photographers' blog and only saw one "questionable" look - pale yellow chiffon on a bunch of lighter skinned girls. Not a good look! The hardest part for me was just finding the right color because we saw lots of great dresses.

I'm giving the ladies these guidelines and they can choose their own dress: black, floor length, Jim Hjelm/Lazaro line, and silk or satin in material. Hopefully they can shorten it and wear it again as a LBD.

Yeah I can see where you'd be a little turned off by that. I think it's the flowers, and if they really had a "purple wedding" that could be hard to match. We only had a few other purple things and their flowers were neutral, so I think it worked. Even though I'm a little biased.

I don't know, Meg. I don't think they will. They picked them out themselves, and chose their own colors and they're super excited about them. Or at least they were pretending to be ;) They're going to wear them with the straps, I think, which actually makes them even cuter!

They chose their dresses, Alfred Angelo jersey knits in Azure. PIB of the stock photos. The two standing closest to me have both managed to re-wear their dresses to other weddings in the last two months.
