  • @NCD - gorgeous house! hope it works out for you!

    WR: We finalized our rehearsal dinner menu/guest list last and it is sent off the restaraunt. Nice to have that done!  Our high-five cake topper arrives today and BM #3 ordered her dress. One more to go!

    N(my)WR: One of my BM's got engaged! We are super excited for her!!

  • WR: Put down the deposit for the groom's attire. Yay!
            Created my bridesmaids bouquets (silk).  They actually came out pretty nice;
                  FI liked them :)
            Figured out what paper weight I want for the wedding programs by finally
                 getting to Staples to actually feel the samples.
            Updated the wedding webpage with new travelling info (half of my guests
                 are OOT)

    NWR:  Finally cleaned the apartment.  Been putting it off for awhile since I've been so tired working 14 days straight.
  • FI and I were thinking of doing a dry reception since I'll be 19 and why should I host alcohol for others? It'd save us like $1000 but I talked to my mom and she doesn't think it'll go over that great. I'm just annoyed because I've had a couple people tell me they're gonna get wasted at our wedding. It'd just be easier to do a dry reception and save us money since we're hosting but whatever. We still have it budgeted for and are under budget. My mom suggested a white and red wine bottle at each table...thoughts?

    <div>I think that's a good idea. Maybe you could also offer champagne for toasting so it'll be a little more special. I know a lot of people say that they're going to get wasted at weddings, but once they're there and see the atmosphere, they normally change their minds. Is your FI 21? Are most of your other guests going to be 21? I know it sucks that you can't drink at your own wedding, but most people enjoy a drink with dinner even if it isn't at a wedding.</div>

    FI will be 21 but half the WP and some guests won't be that's why I was thinking it'd be ok to do a dry reception. I'm going to tell the bartenders to be extra observant with a couple people like FI"s best man. He's told me he's tired of trying to find a girl to settle down with and just wants to drink and get laid. He told me that's his plan for the wedding. I told him if I think he's having too much I'll have him cut off. He really doesn't know when to stop. He came out to visit us and stayed at our place after drinking too much Jack Daniels and puked on our carpet (he somehow managed to clean it up perfectly though...haha) I just don't wanna deal with the people thinking they're gonna get drunk then not have a ride because we don't have a taxi service in town
  • Have a job interview today, hope that I get it. Although it is not in the field of my studies. So this will be a temporary job till I can get in my field.

  • WR: FI's parents came home from FL today where they ordered our rings! (FI's parent's deal in jewelry in Miami and did my e-ring). The wedding rings should be here in 2-3 weeks according to FMIL and I am SO excited!

  • NWR: Ran 2.5 miles today...and may have come up with a research question for my qualitative research methods assignment.

    WR: Nothing?
  • Yesterday I made about 70 little pinwheels for our escort cards and our cake topper.  Relieved to be pretty much done with those!
