I'll start it out early since I have an all-day meeting from 8-4. I'll start by flaming that.
Then going to flame my photographer. I do love him, but just got an email that it won't be until the first week in January that I'll get my wedding pictures. Boo. I know 3 months is about average (totally jealous of all you girls that got your beautiful pics sooner!) but I wanted to give some as gifts. Oh well.
Have a great Friday Ladies.

Tiff-lol she only posts the wedding dress sale and runs then hides!
I flame this cold I have (went to the clinic yesterday!) I can't breathe or even talk. Then customers get mad cus I can't talk!
I flame the post-and-runners for asking for advice, calling us bitches with attitudes, and running for the hils. If anyone responded with attitude, honey, you probably deserved it.
I also flame my company for completely wasting two work days with this software conversion. My team cannot function properly, and you still chewed my ass...you do realize that it wasn't MY fault that the server didn't have enough memory, or that the conversion took 12 hours longer than YOU anticipated. Suck it.
I flame karenjdawson for not responding to my inquiry on her dress for sale. *snort*

YES! I flame the girl with the brown and teal wedding that never responded.
I flame the improper use of ellipsis (...). This means that your thought has been interrupted. Is does not mean the end of a sentence. Please note this and use accordingly.
Also, just in general, text talk is frustrating and hard to read. Please just type it all out and use proper sentence structure.

Why would it be okay to get married, have a "wedding" on April Fool's Day and then tell everyone "surprise! we're already married!" I'd be pissed!

I just found out yesterday that I've been doing the double spaces at the end of sentences wrong. Apparently, that's outdated now--how did I miss this? I flame having to retrain myself how to type now.

I do this too and am pretty sure that I won't stop any time soon.
Did you know that when listing items there is no longer the need to put a comma after the second item? For example:
Renee wants a kindle, a soft scarf and a movie for Christmas.
I don't like this way and will continue to put a comma after the second item. Call me an OMH too!
I also flame myself for spending all that money on Ray Ban Wayfarers only to have them be super heavy and hard to wear leading to the aforementioned ebay auction.

I did know that, but I use it anyway.
Maybe I will just refuse all grammar changes altogether. Double spaces and oxford commas for everyone!

<div>Me too!!</div><div>I guess I can always use the excuse that English is my second language??? (LOL)</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>I flame my headaches... if they would just go away and let me enjoy my weekend I will be happy... (oops)</div>
No more double spaces? Seriously?!?! That's just built into my typing now. My life is over as I know it.

It drives me crazy when people DO put a extra comma in the sentence. Like so:
Renee wants a kindle, a soft scarf, and a movie for Christmas.
DRIVES ME CRAZY!! There is no need for a comma because "and" takes care of that for you! hahaha
but I am HORRIBLE at mis-using ellipses <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" />
Also, I never knew that double spacing was a "trend" of any sort. I always just assumed people were stupid and hit the space button one too many times. haha

Um, why don't they send out memos about changes like this? I like to think that other in casual online postings, I'm quite capable of constructing coherent and correct messages via computer, but now I find that I'm outdated as well?
*clears throat* Hello, my name is Diana, and I'm an ellipses abuser.
And, I concur with PP - I flame the random "new" post'n'runners.
The phrase "comma and" were placed into my genetic makeup somewhere in middle school or so.
Next you guys are going to tell me that 2x2 now equals 5.
The world is crashing down around me. Oh the horror!!!
(Now I am strangely aware of my ellipsis usage)

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know about this rule change. I was like have people been quietly judging me this whole time?

My understanding is that both ways are correct (comma or no comma).
In Response to Re: FFF : My understanding is that both ways are correct (comma or no comma).

Your understanding is correct. However, it is typically the "older" generation that uses the "comma and" way. By the way, we are included in that "older" generation.
I didn't give everyone at work a Christmas present, I pick and chose based on my nice or naughty list.
I am definitely an ellipsis abuser. I know I have a problem, but I just cannot stop. *hangs head in shame*
Posted by Tiffany618
I am definitely a repeat offender. I have just gotten used to the 'no comma after the second item in a list' rule and it just doesn't seem right.
I'm okay with that.... i'm aware i have a problem
i shall flame myself for terrible grammar, for enjoying the fact that my much hated boss got demoted (
**head hits desk**
I'm a no second comma fan. And I like ellipsis. Words and grammar change. I think ellipsis at the end of a thought will evenutually be an acceptable way to suggest that the writer is still unsure of or thinking through his/her statement. Or not. But that's the fun of language! It isn't static; it's as alive as the people who speak it.
And, I flame myself for getting corny about language!
shortgirl - I didn't get ANYONE at work a Christmas present. Ha. How do you like them apples? Posted by Tiffany618
I went from getting nearly everyone something to getting no one anything (that was a bad week) but then people gave me stuff so I felt like I should reciprocate. So I compromised and gave them homemade cookies.
