This is my step-cat Hurley. FI had her before we met, so I have inherited her. She's completely crazy and steals things from my purse. I love her and just want to hold her, but she swats at me and glares at me from across the room. The first pic is from today...she was sleeping so cute. And the second is an older one. She wouldn't move to let me lay down. She's a bitch like that.

Sun- I have four inside cats and we feed/take care of 5 or 6 outside cats that used to be feral. I have a rabbit too.

Ricks, did you TNR the outside ferals? That is fantastic that you look after so many. For some reason I didn't realise that you were also a crazy cat lady.

H and I have been talking about doing fostering. I'm just worried about how Naia would be because it took her months and months to come around to the boys after Nomad passed, and she's very skittish.

Thanks Brie! I am quite in love with them. We've been really lucky to have some of the sweetest cats that ever existed. All of our boys have been super-sweet.

Oh wait, Trap and Release! Yes we trapped them and fixed them. I would bring them inside but they have feline aids and my house is too small for more cats lol. I wish we had a cat sanctuary here.

and also, where do you live that you have so many ferals? I'm always dreaming of finding cats to take care of (still a child at heart!) but the only one that's ever arrived on my doorstep was the gorgeous Nomad, who snuck inside and jumped under my arm while I was sleeping shortly after I first saw him hanging around our house.

I live in MS. The people here don't give a sh!t about their animals and refuse to fix them and let them run around here. We have a huge overpopulation of unwanted pets. It hurts my heart. I love all animals too much I guess.

No, The rabbit is a bully and bites anything with fur, so the cats do go near him.

I was about to say no, but there was one fall- we had friends over and Chomp was on the beam, trying to get a moth or something that was below him. He spun, held on and then fell onto the couch. He was completely fine.

I don't worry about the lower beams, but there is a high level (perhaps about 2 or 3 floors high) which they can get up to if they want to. They don't go up there when we're here, but I'm paranoid they will when we're out and will fall and hurt themselves badly. We're going to put a wall in there though eventually, to stop them getting up there.
