I'm thinking we're not going to do the traditional "Here comes the bride" song. I'm a HUGE Dave Matthews Band fan and I'm thinking about "Crash into me" but I'm not sure. Any ideas? I Recently sang "Never felt this day" by Brian McKnight for my sister's wedding.
Oh yeah, HI!! I said some awkward things a few days ago but I wanna play nice, ok? The guy and I have been together almost 2 years, we're grownups and all kinda butt crazy in love (as is expected). We're planning to get married summer of 2012, Not sure of the date yet.
Re: what did you walk down the aisle to?
Eat.Drink.BeMarried. Blog.
I walked down to Calico Skies by Paul McCartney. It will forever and always be my favorite song.

Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?

You're so funny.
I walked down to "Clair de Lune" by Debussy, in honor of my father. But I almost walked down to "Crazy B!tch" by Buckcherry, someone hit the wrong button.
We're also big DMB fans and are considering I'll Back You Up or Crush.
Down the isle not sure, but I want to do a DMB song called you and me together.... its such a cute song, but we are having a childrens chior sing it with an acustic guitar group of 7 guitars doing their own harmonies with flutes.

[QUOTE]We considered that song, because we're both huge DMB fans. :) Instead, I went with a piano version of <strong>"Kissing You" by Des'ree </strong>(the love theme from Romeo and Juliet.) We used the song for the entire wedding party, and I entered about 3 minutes into it right at the big build-up in the song. Cheesy? yup. But it was perfect for us. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d-27qQr-Xw" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d-27qQr-Xw</a>

It's a bit of a joke between us that that's gonna be our first dance. lol
Welcome to the world, Baby W: born on 3/8/12 @ 3:49pm - 8lb 11 oz, 22 in.
I'll Back You Up or Steady As We Go would be a better DMB song I think.
That said, the BP walked in to an instrumental of Nothing Else Matters, and I walked in to Into My Arms by Nick Cave and the Badseeds
[QUOTE]I'm going to go with the opposing opinion here and say not to use Crash Into Me. The song has a vastly different meaning than what you might think... appropriate. We're also big DMB fans and are considering I'll Back You Up or Crush.

I love the lyrics and have heard two different interpretations of the song. One Dave says it's like some creeper looking throught the window at some chick undressing "Hike up your skirt a little more and show your world to me" and the oher is that he wrote it for his wife. I'm gonna go with the second :)

WOW
I walked down to Oh Shenandoah which is a regional song. You had to cross the Shenandoah river to get to the wedding site and it's an incredibly beautiful song, especially when played on the harp. We also thought this set of lines was touching as H moved from VA to Maine when he thought we wouldn't be together, then back to VA after we started dating.
Oh Shenandoah,I love your daughterAway, you rolling river. For her I'd cross,Your roaming waters.

Sarah, Beatles and I were just talking about this song yesterday-- it was in both of our lists of song choices for the wedding, but didn't make the cut. LOVE that song, so much.
[QUOTE]Crash Into Me, though beautiful, is a <strong>bit sexy for an aisle walk</strong>, methinks. I'll Back You Up or Steady As We Go would be a better DMB song I think.

Yeah, I see that. I'm not really sure how much our grandmother's are going to be listening to the lyrics though or how far into the song it'll get.
