[QUOTE]There's a place in FL that we go to a lot when down there with fried pickles. My mom adores them, but I hate regular pickles so I figure having them fried won't make me like them any better.

Pickles are amazing. I love the hamburger dill chips and love to drink the juice, too.

  • Actually, my favorite thing at the fair is the hot roast beef sundae.  It's some mashed potatoes in a bowl, topped with roast beef and gravy, then some cheese with a cherry tomato on top.  Delicious!

  • you biittches are making me hungry.

Who else has tried the daquiri in a pouch thingies?  What flavors do you recommend?  Are there any that suck? The mango one is delish.  I have a peach, but haven't tried it yet.
  • I hate pickles so I'd probably not like friend pickles, although usually I love most fried things.

I don't like rodeos either. We almost got trampled by a bull that escaped once and my dad about got gored in the butt so they freak me out now. But I do love mechanical bull riding. I'm the laziest, least strong person ever but I rock that shiiiit.
  • Man, I haven't been to a fair since high school. Hm, or maybe my first year of college. Anyway, I used to spend an entire week at our county fair in Michigan because I was in 4H. Every morning, you could smell the fresh donuts being made. Holy crap now I'm remembering. Mouth.watering. We never spent too much time on the fairway though because our parents told us it was too dangerous. lol

Dat dere big city ain't no plaice fer us lil'uns.

I've had the pina colada one and pomegranate something. I liked them both but wasn't too crazy over the pomegranate. I really want to try the strawberry daquiri one but I can never find it.

  • AATB, I find myself agreeing with you all over the place. STOP IT ALREADY. ;)
  • Muni, I've had the pina colada ones. It wasn't the best I've had, but was pretty damn good considering it came from a pouch. Peach sounds fantastic, though.
  • I've been seeing references to these pouch things..I need to try it out.  Do they make Long Island Iced Tea pouches? I'd be all over that.
  • I don't love pina coladas in general.  I'm disappointed that the pomegranate wasn't thrilling.  I haven't seen that flavor but I would be ON THAT SCHITT if i did.

[QUOTE]You know what a not so bad pre-mixed margarita is? Stinky Gringo. They come in HUGE like gallon bottles, or you can get individual bottles. A couple of those and you won't feel the heat! You also won't feel your face. But don't get strawberry. It tastes like cough syrup.

<div>H does NOT play around when it comes to food and drink, so I never buy the pre-mixed jugs.  I just plant ideas in his head about margaritas or whatever sounding so good in the heat, etc.  And then I come home to margaritas made from homemade sour mix. He's fucking awesome.</div>

  • Rach, I'm pretty sure H would figure out a way.  He's ...driven when it comes to that sort of thing.  We went camping once and he cooked straight up meals over the fire.  No hotdogs for him, it was skirt steak.

That moonshine sounds like a good time.
  • Rach, I think I'm just a mixed drink snob.  We make our margs with fresh squeezed lime juice and agave.  Same with cocktails.  If I'm going to drink a cocktail, it's going to be good.  I have no problem drinking shitty beer and wine, though :)
