So I was at my diet place last night and they had an interesting message on their white board that I thought i'd share:
Where will you be by...
Easter - 2 weeks (4 lbs. lighter)
Mother's Day - 7 weeks (14 lbs. lighter)
Memorial Day - 9 weeks (18 lbs. lighter)
4th of July - 14 weeks (28 lbs. lighter)
*The numbers in parenthesis are if you lost an average of 2 lbs./week.
All of our goals are different, but I thought it was an interesting way to visualize where you want to be in the short term. What on your calendar is motivating you to keep making good eating/work out choices on a daily basis?
Re: Thintopia Ladies: Inspiration
I usually only lose 0.5 to 1.0 lb a week, if I do well. I'm on my last 5-10 vanity/toning up pounds, so ANY loss is a good week. with that being said...
Where will you be by...
Easter - 2 weeks (1-3 lbs. lighter)
Mother's Day - 7 weeks (6 lbs. lighter)
Memorial Day - 9 weeks (8 lbs. lighter)
**First Day of Summer, June 20 - 12 weeks (10 lbs lighter) - GOAL
4th of July - 14 weeks (10 lbs. lighter) - MAINTAIN GOAL
I really hope that it goes faster than that, but with it being the last few pounds, I understand it may take a little longer. it's extremely hard for me to lose weight quickly because I'm already at a small-ish weight and size. sometimes I get discouraged when I see other ladies or my H lose in big numbers, but I need to be realistic with myself. I don't want to diet, per se, but just live a healthier lifestyle on a more consistent basis and cut back on the emotional/stress eating. so if it takes more than 9 weeks, then it just takes more than 9 weeks.
2 weeks - Easter with family that hasn't seem me since Christmas
5 weeks - BF's graduation!
7 weeks - Grandmother's 80th birthday (ENTIRE {26 people} family will be in town)
9 weeks - Memorial Day Weekend Picnic
13 weeks - BF's Birthday
14 weeks - 4th of July Weekend!
If I lost 2 lbs a week, I'd almost be at my goal by 4th of July weekend! I realize I might not make this target (it's a pretty aggressive goal) but it's something to keep in mind!!
Tarra: I wouldn't call this outfit "dorky". I think it takes a lot of guts to wear something like this!! If I had to walk out of the house wearing something like this...you bet i'd be getting my butt to the gym! haha

are you going to be doing WW, or just watching what you eat? any particular exercise plan?
I'm not on WW, but I have Livestrong on my phone and I calculate my cals and exercise cals there. I'm doing C25K as a goal (run/jog a 5K, no stops, by the end of summer... hopefully before!!) and Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, plus a few other things. I also have some 10 minute bootcamp DVDs and a Pilates DVD.
I'm still looking for some kind of stretching/yoga for my tight muscles, if anyone has any suggestions... 30 minutes-ish or less. ??
[QUOTE]This is really dorky but dragon con is in Sept as is our 1st anniversary and I want to be fit cuz I'm dressing as Lightning from FF XIII 2 so basically a magical armored hottie. Evan is so looking forward to it. I need to be at goal in July so I can make my costume.

You are my hero
Mother's Day - 7 weeks (14 lbs. lighter) I want my mom to comment on how I'm looking healthier
Memorial Day - 9 weeks (18 lbs. lighter) This would put me right where I would LOVE to be. I want to be under 120. BF thinks I"m nuts - but that was where I was happiest with my body and my health. I had so much energy and liked what I saw in the mirror
4th of July - 14 weeks - This is where I want to be toned - and have muscle definition that make people's heads turn and go "Daaaaaaamn, he has a hottie". Plus also - if I have a defined tummy - BF PROMISED he would buy me my boob job. *nods* Yes, I'm self conscious and vain enough that I want a boob job. I'm okay with it.
[QUOTE]In Response to Re:Thintopia Ladies: Inspiration : I'm making the costume... Super excited!
