Happy...err...Monday?

Snippy. I used TJ's interview question and he said he was afraid that I was going to use the job as a "stepping stone" to my old career. I tried to assure him that my old career doesn't even exist here, so don't worry about it.
They had me take some personality test (McQuaigs?) and said he would call me this week.
I have an interview on Thursday for a part time position at a jewellery store. They seemed pretty exited about all my life experience. But until someone ays "hey, you can start on XX date. I'm not getting my hopes up.

I was in a good mood, now I'm cranky. They just announced that Southwest bought AirTran. I love AirTran, and absolutely hate Southwest.

Morning, ladies. I'm back at "work" after a week off, and it's raining, and it's Monday. 3 strikes against today. Supposed to go to a party Friday evening, the annual Folk Choir Jam, and bring a dish to share. Okay, great, but I will have to leave to get there straight from work. Thursday night I've got class from 4:30-9:30, Wednesday night I've got Evensong at church. So I'm backed up to Tuesday, and anything I bake then will be grossly stale by Friday.

ETA: Here is one of the pieces we will be singing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWfP7KeLUKU The choir director has me jumping between tenor, 2nd soprano, and alto, depending on where in the music we are in the piece. Fun times.

You know, I tried not to be offended the last time you went on a rant about how everything is so much worse in the South...but this is just dumb. People suck at driving everywhere. I promise Boston is worse, and not because anyone likes NASCAR.

Meh. I can't even get it up for a perfunctory "good morning". It's Monday, end of the month crazy time and I have a cold and feel like crap. However, I did go camping this weekend (probably did not help with aforementioned cold) and I saw a bear! I love wildlife and that's the first bear I've ever seen outside of a zoo. It was awesome.

babestate! I'm glad you had fun at your shower. That wedding day is coming up mighty soon!

Stack- accidents all over the place in Northern Virginia, too. Stupid rain + stupid drivers = a fun commute.

Amoro my bork bork love! I hope your mood improves today. Bork.

Arb- I'm with you on the Southwest hate. They suck.

Good morning! I'm in a pretty good mood. I have ALL week to work on one big pro bono brief (assuming nothing bad happens) and it makes me happy.

Yesterday I was super cranky because I accidentally took 2 adderals (instead of the one I take everyday). Ugh I flipped out on my H in the grocery store and I'm not sure how to make it better.

I also apparently forgot a huge snarl in my hair this morning. I'm waiting for a friend to come in that has a brush. Is it weird to borrow a brush?

Morning! I can't say that it's been good for me so far, however.

FI went to bed super early last night and it took me forever to fall asleep. Then I accidentally hit the "radio on" button on my alarm clock this morning and it start blaring. It took me a minute to turn it off and we were all wide awake then. Then I knocked some other stuff over turning off my other alarm. FI was taking today off, so I'm sure he wasn't happy.

Rach, that sucks about your job. I can feel your pain there.

And I don't know about drivers in the south, but I've come to learn that a lot of Kentuckians don't know how to stay in their own lane when driving. It's like they all have inner ear infections or something - they're all over the place!

If he's anything like my FI, I'm sure he understands...I go through similar issues when my anti-anxiety medication dosages are out of whack. I needed to up mine a few months ago, but we didn't realize it, and I was hell on wheels for a few days until my doctor straightened it out. FI was really good about it.

I'm sure your H understands that it wasn't you. *hugs*

I saw a bear in the wild for the first time 2 months ago as he tried to cross the interstate in front of the car I was driving and got hit by the car next to me. I thought it was a dog at first.

And oh, morning. There is no good because it's Monday and it's raining and it's freezing again in my office.

thanks. I think he was relieved when I told him that it was the medicine and not the girl he married a couple of months ago. Its not going to be fun when everything gets tweaked for baby making purposes.

morning girls!

speaking of bad drivers:

I carpool every morning with FI and FBIL.. .FBIL was driving and this morning is the second time in the matter of two weeks he almost rear-ended someone at high speed... if FI wouldn't have yelled watchout I'm sure we would have smashed into the guy

not to mention I have to sit in the back with two car seats, and I barely fit - it's a very uncomfortable 45 minute drive - and I'm sure if we get into a t-bone accident I'll be a goner because of those seats.

People in Indiana drive okay, except that none of us take the speed limits seriously. Chicago drivers scare the living daylights out me, though!

I used to be sooooo comfortable with FI driving until we were in a car accident in December that totaled my new car. Dude just randomly turned right infront of us and we slammed into him. It wasn't FI's fault, but I felt completely helpless in the situation and it's given me really bad anxiety now. It's also taken away any trust I had in other drivers, so I'm constantly jumping and what not. I feel like they're all that stupid guy who wasn't paying attention and didn't see the huge vehicle coming right at him. FI's become more used to my antics, but I wish I could get over it because sometimes it makes road trips almost unbearable.

Fish, best thing I heard late afternoon yesterday - fans coming back from Vikings game; obviously had a couple of beers in him. We were at McDonalds. He'd gotten his drink, then walked back up to the counter and said this:

"DUUUUDEE!!!! What's up with these straws, man?"
Counter guy just says they're color changing
"Are you SURE? They're not like, CRAZY or something man?"
Then he turned around and said (to anyone, but I was the one behind him):
"Have YOU had a pop here recently?"

I was really tempted to say, I don't know what pop is, But I've had a Coke at McDonald's and it was a regular straw.
And yes, the straws did change colors when the drinks came up through them. Some blue, some red, and I think I saw a yellow one. Pretty neat.
