Courtney, I don't understand why you want your students to be afraid of adults. They should respect them, for sure, but AFRAID? That seems inappropriate to me. Of COURSE if they're afraid they're not going to ask for help.

And, please define "mini-lesson". I'm pretty sure my teachers, even ones who taught the same class all day long, taught full lessons. Not mini ones.

Knotting on your planning period or whatever is cool. But, I'd be pretty pissed if my doctor knotted during my visits with her - that's MY time. Why do your students deserve less?

You're right there. If I get pissed at anything it usually doesn't last very long. And the one time someone fried my ass so bad that I managed to hang on to it all the way to Friday, I ended up getting hit for not flaming the offenders back on their own board. So apparently I just fail, in general.

Oh well.
