  I am using a few northshore vendors, and they have been very pleasant so far. My photographer is Rick King. We did our engagement session with him in June, and he is wonderful (probably one of the nicest people I've met). He took over 150 really nice pictures in City Park in less than an hour, and we still haven't decided which ones we like the most. We are using Zoe's bakery for our cake. The owner/chef is so personable and creative, and the cakes are delicious too. They were actually significantly less than some of the other bakeries in the New Orleans area, and the cakes are original too. As for makeup, I'm using SWAK. They are a little pricey, but most professional makeup and hair companies are. I did my trial run with Gwen a few weeks ago, and she did exactly what I had asked and even suggested different options to take it up a notch.

  You may not need this info, depending on what you've got already, but I did chair and table rentals for our outdoor wedding from Feast in Slidell. They have been great to work with so far - haven't had the wedding yet but have everything reserved. Cole's Rentals in Covington was so rude and inflexible that I went all the way to Slidell to use someone different.
  
  Our photographer is Stevie Ramos - she's not on the Northshore but she will come up from the south shore. She's been great so far as well.
  
  I have no suggestions for makeup or cake - I'm DIYing both of those.
  
  I'd love a recommendation for a hair salon as well if anyone has it. Still haven't found that.
