In Response to Re: Can it be evening? : Hubs has gobs of this ... from his TBI and accident. He says things feel almost 'minty fresh' when he is describing the hypersensitivity. And then other spots are numb. So weird. You can almost draw a line down the center of his bod and everything on the left is f'd up; on the right is OK. Crazy!
Posted by willywally5
<div>That makes sense because that numbness is coming from specific nerve damage, so the numbness follows those nerves' distributions.  We are generally fairly symmetrical people, so we have a left and right nerve for each level of the spinal cord.</div>
• Hubby loves roller coasters and I hate them. Thankfully I now have a 'heart condition' and use that to get out of riding them, even though it's just a mild inflamation and wouldn't hurt me to ride them. LOL

• I have a fear of heights, but I think if I'm high up enough, it doesn't feel "real" enough to keep on scaring me.  So I'll get scared on a chair lift, but I don't feel scared looking out the window on the 30th floor.  I'm weird.
• H and I thought we loved roller coasters, but we started feeling a bit of vertigo and nausea coming off some of the rides at Universal last time.  We might be getting too old for them.
• Roller coasters are marvelous, wonderful creations made from hopes and dreams.
• Yeah I sound like an asshole now, haha. Really I just relish in that "stomach up in your throat" feeling.
image
• We both enjoy roller coasters but I'll pretty much ride anything and won't be nervous about it at all. More bouncy and excited about it, especially if it's new to me and sounds amazing. H, no matter what kind of ride it is, will work himself into a nervous nelly and wind up enjoying it a lot.

Hubby is 38, almost 39 and his sister is 40. They both love coasters, the bigger the better, and they still travel to the super coasters.

Whatever. I like the kids rides. LOL

• MuSu - have you ever gone bungy jumping?  We went in New Zealand - I only did one jump, but H did 3 - it was awesome.  I wish I had done the other 2 :(

<div>Clearly we need to go to an amusement park together.</div>
• I used to love spinning things - tilt-a-whirls, gravitrons, etc.  I can not do those anymore, I end up dizzy for hours.  it's sad.

• CHARMIN IS A MARRIED HAG!!!!

Any, I agree, we must!

KJB -- I haven't tried it, but for some reason free falling seems less scary than bungee jumping. I'm irrationally afraid of the bungee snapping off.

• We made the mistake of getting in the spinning teacups right after lunch and spinning it as hard as we could. We're lucky we didn't get sick.

• Hey everyone, I am just sitting here watching Sex in the City. I think I may go to bed early i've got an awful headache. A friend of mine just texted me to ask why H isn't going to work on Saturday, "He hurt his knee, and how is it any of your business?"

• Oh, I like up and down rides but fuuck if you can get me on a spinny ride. Hells no.

I hate to disappoint, I'm a mere child of 29. My husband is robbing the cradle. LOL I'll be thirty this year. Hubby is 38.
Charmin, that part kinda sucks.  You plan something for a year or so, and it's over in like, 3 seconds.

<div>Oh man, the ones that are just a giant spinning circle that fling you up against the side? Closest I've ever come to throwing up.</div>

I better get my pro pics back soon, so I can recreate the day. The rad thing is that our photographer brought a videographer as a wedding present.

• LOL nice, Holly. ;)

Any, I know. Those things are so gross. I don't like any ride that goes in a circle. Barf city. Good thing we would make perfect ride partners!

• Holly, the world was totally still spinning. I'm sure we looked drunk walking out of the cups.

Charmin, that is an awesome gift from your photographer! Our wedding went by in a flash too. I was counting down the hours until 6:30 all day, then BAM it's the next morning.

I'm a little 90 year old woman trapped in a 29 year old body. Or so my mother tells me.

When DH and I first started dating a waitress asked him what he was celebrating with his daughter. I've aged a bit the past few years and have some gray hair and look more mature now, so I think we look more like husband and wife, but I still kid him about that.

• I don't know where my wedding video is any longer.  I paid all that money to watch a video once, have each set of parents watch it once, then have all of us lose the DVDs.
• I have no desire to churn my stomach on a ride. I don't get why people like spinning as fast as possible. OMG just the thought of it makes me feel all queasy.
image
• We were conveniently located right next to the exit, otherwise I'm sure we would have had the same issue.
