Renting BM Dresses

So a couple of weeks ago I was talking to a girl who recently opened a bridal consignment shop in Mooresville. She posed something to me that I had yet to hear before. She carries BM dresses (certain styles and colors) and is trying to push for brides to rent their BM dresses. Basically it works similar to a tux shop, you go in try on the dress that the bride picks out, they have an onsite seamstress who tailers the dress and then you walk out w/your dress and return it after the wedding.

I like the concept, especially if you're in like 4 weddings in one year, it's a lot to buy those dresses. Let's be honest it's also not a lot of the dresses you can wear again becuase they're super formal or not your style. Any thoughts on this?

I've heard of it before too. I think it'd be nice if the bride picked a dress way oustide of what I was willing to spend, I'd probably rent it then.

ETA: it'd also be a good option for a Bride who wanted to cover the cost for her girls' dresses

I've heard of it before and I do think it's a good idea. If you're willing to be flexible with the style you want I think it's a great option.

I think it is wonderful too! Also second the idea that you won't wear the dress again and it might save costs. Plus guys seem to have it so easy, pick tux up 2 days before wedding and return.
