Hello ladies! I just woke up.

(It is only 9 AM here, so it's not that bad.) I wasn't planning on leaving the house today but I'm almost out of laundry detergent and my plan was to laundry all day.

Maybe I'm thinking of MA or some other NE state where you have to go to a separate liquor store.

NPR actually did a short story on how CT has those old liquor laws this week.

In WA you can only buy liquor at the liquor store. That should be changing soon, I believe.

I get annoyed in places where alcohol sales is limited. H takes care of buying our alcohol cause you have to find a liquor store. There are starting to be more of them around. Beer and wine are available pretty freely at the grocery store though.

I kind of feel like if people are going to make bad choices, they are going to find a way to make bad choices, so you might as well not make it so difficult for the people making responsible choices.

When I was in college in Rhode Island, I suggested going to the grocery store to buy some beer, and my friends (from RI) looked at me like I had a second head. You can't buy liquor in the grocery store in Rhode Island. I'd never caught on.

You can't buy hard liquor in the grocery store in CT, just beer (and maybe wine in some cases).

I can neither buy alcohol (of any kind) in the grocery store NOR can I buy it on a Sunday.

TR- I don't know if you're still around or not, but hopefully your taxes won't be too bad. I've always come out even or owed in PA, but always received a refund in SC. I don't get it, but the extra $$ is always nice for sure.

And yay for your cruise, but I don't recommend driving to the port (unless you're sailing out of Port Canaveral). I drove to Miami thinking it would be easier than flying, and while it was certainly cheaper, it was almost as long as driving to PA when I lived in SC.

I changed my deductions at work for 2011 to withhold less and now I'm scared I shouldn't have. So we'll see what the results bring.
