The Friday Night Club

Re: The Friday Night Club

  • Just switched it over to "Groundhog Day".  I feel like I've seen this movie before . . .
    Tongue Out

Maybe I should go check on the hubby.  He's reading HG, too.
  • Awww! I don't think I could handle HG. I read at night to fall asleep, and it doesn't seem to be the kind of reading material for that. Although I hear only rave reviews for it.

  • Yup, that's the one.  It makes me want to go give mine a hug.  And go storm the person's place that decided to do that.. Seriously, what could the horses have been doing that really would have provoked them to shoot them? It's ridiculous.
  • Hug your ponies for me, too. That stuff makes me want to vomit.

  • Holly, always AGAINST the SEC!!!  :P

Nicki - I read to fall asleep at night, too.  HG kept me up reading though.  I stayed up until 4am the first night.  And that was when I had the bad dream.   But I survived.  I don't think it's that scary, and I'm a huge wuss.  I mean, it is Young Adult fiction.
  • Barrel, I'm not even going to click on that.  Recently the channels I watch keep showing ASPCA and Humane Society commercials.  I have to change the channel.
  • I won't let myself read HG until summer break.  I know I won't do a thing until I've read them all based on what I've seen people say on here.

  • The ASPCA commercials have moved on from just Sara M and now have added other friendly sad song singing folks to ruin your whole day. I have a flip channel always prepared for that sole purpose.

  • Barrel, yeah, I read the first two in about 3 days.  Probably took me 8 hours each.

I hate those commercials. I have to tune out when they come on.

And all of those sad puppy eyes.   I can't STAND it.
  • Nope, Holly, always against SEC (maybe unless it's Tennessee, depends on who they are playing).  Always FOR the B10!!

    :D

I'm just joking around.  We can agree to disagree.  At least you went to Auburn.  My husband almost went there.
  • My alma mater is moving to the Big East... I don't think they realize we live in the west.  I know nothing about football, but I have to say spending money on a cross country plane ticket for a football game doesn't sound like fun.
  • Oh, you went to Boise?  The move to the Big East makes TOTAL sense . . . riiiiight.
  • And the fact that the State Board of Education just approved a 5 year $2 million per year contract for Coach Pete and I've had paycuts given to me for the past 3 years by the same Board just makes me full of unicorns and rainbows for the team.

  • I spent three months in Idaho Falls four years ago.  It was so cold! (Jan - March).  But developed a love for Western Skiing.  I need to go back and take Matt.

That is load of blue bronco crap!

Nicki- That would probably be the only reason a football game could get me across country!

Matts- ID Falls is... Interesting.  But ya, it's cold (well, usually.)  And I love skiing! Is skiing there different than here?

Well I was in Idaho Falls for work.  Everything was covered in snow.  But they had a Pita Pit!

    Western skiing />>>>>> Eastern skiing

Out here it's so icy and full of people.  I keep telling Matt (who's only gone skiing in North Carolina) that learning out west is so much easier.  Plus, if you fall down, the snow is soft!
  • We have lots of Pita Pits here! I love them!

Icy skiing is no fun... It definitely hurts a lot more when you fall.

  • A freisian baby to make everyone happy. This is Wallace, a sweet boy who was sold- and not to me. But he is so cuddly!
And this is Nella, our PMU rescue paint. She knows no other way to greet a person/camera than this. And she isn't the worst personal space invader in our equine family!

Sorry, I had to AW some ponies, since we talked about sad pony stories.

  • Mmmm, I love Pita Pit with chicken and honey mustard.

Okay, I'd best be going to bed.  We need to get up and jog the dog before running errands.
  • YAY PONIES!!!  I feel like since having a dog, I'm way more empathetic to animals.  I see all of their personalities (and probably project my dog onto them.)

Anyway, really going to bed this time.  Good night, ladies!
  • Ahh cute ponies!!

Night Matts.  I think I'm outta here too.  I have Zumba in the morning.
  • I love to ski, but I am so bad at it. I call what I do "Skalling" its a 50/50 mix of partial skiing and a lot of falling down the mountain.

  • Lol Nicki I love it! I'm pretty good at sliding down the mountain too.
