True or false:

Your wedding was the best day of your life.

H says yes, absolutely; I say it's definitely top 3, but graduating law school was pretty freaking sweet too because I worked a LOT harder for it.

Re: True or false:

  • Graduating law school has been the best day so far....I'll let you know if it beats my wedding on July 25th!  Where did you go to school?

Well, it's been the best day of my life so far, but I'm sure there are better days to come in the future (like when children are born, etc.)

  • Very false. Graduating with my first degree was the best day of my life.
    image
  • Best day of my life in the past 5 years or so.

I think the day we move into our house will be the best day though.

It was pretty far up there. I don't know, it's definitely better than my graduation days for some reason, but I guess there are just some random days that don't seem like they should be "best days of my life" but they really feel like they are. You know what I mean? This might be another one of those "maybe I'm just weird" things, but I just have random days that I look back on so fondly that it would be hard to pick a "best" day.  It was pretty freaking awesome though, I had so much fun on my wedding day.

  • Best, no way. Top 5? Definitely. The days my children were born, finishing my Master's, and skiing in Switzerland rank right up there, too.
  • False. It was a great day. But not the best.
  • I wouldn't say it's the best. But my wedding day was the day we knew something else was wrong with Mark.

  • False.

Being randomly selected out of thousands people to have my cheap seats upgraded to front row center at Paul McCartney - that was the best day of my life.

  • False; a good day but not the best.  Undergrad was better than law school for sure and was one of the best easily.  Finishing Ironman was higher too; course B was in the finishing chute to meet me since he had already finished a few hours before.
  • Top 5 for sure.

I agree, one of the best.
  • True. Absolutely. We could not have asked for anything more.

Arbs - Paul McCartney spoke at my graduation. It was all sorts of amazingness. No singing though :(

Planning in AZ in 2011 with as big group from my tri team.  Think about IMAZ...
  • For me, it was the best day of my life so far.  I imagine that will be trumped by birthing children...Packers winning the Superbowl, etc.

To me, wedding day was way better than law school/grad school/undergrad graduations, but I've never much cared for graduations
  • hmmm more time to prepare and warmer weather?  Sounds quite tempting....

  • I'm not married yet but I might be.  Right now the best day of my life was the day I got my first "big kid" job.  I think it was because it was the greatest sense of accomplishment for me.  It was hard work and I was so scared as to when it was going to happen.  I knew I would graduate college and yes I worked hard but there was never any concern that I wouldn't do well.

  • We have a lot of lawyers in this thread :)

  • It was one of the best, but it doesn't compare to a dozen other random days. Getting my MA, holding my first book in hand for the first time, introducing Carl Haiisen at my school's presidential lecture. No, hiking through the rainforest in Ecuador. That was probably the best day of my life so far.
  • It was just another day.

This is how I felt in undergrad, but in law school there was a long period of time when I actually thought failing/dropping out was a real possibility.  Also why passing the bar was so sweet.

Wedding was awesome and we had a great time, but there was never any doubt we'd be married at the end of the day, you know?  Planning was rough at times, but I knew that ultimately shiit would work itself out and we'd get it done.

Too many according to the trash ABA email journal I get.  Ridiculous publication but the comments are so crazy by the same group it is like crack and I can't give it up.

You know you want to, really...  Do it...  20+ crazy Bostonians invading poor Tempe for Ironman madness.  Laughing

I agree with this, which is why graduation wasn't that big of a deal, IMO.  Now, if I HADN'T graduated, that would have been a more noteworthy day :)
  • I'm not married, so of course I can't say with certainty, but a little over a year ago, I left the most absolutely soul crushing, self-esteem destroying, horrible, verbally abusive, twisted, underpaid horror show of a job I have ever had. I had given my notice some time before, but the owner came over to scream at me for her mistake once again and told me to fix it, or just leave.

    I left.

And I laughed all the way home. I couldn't stop. I was so overjoyed and so much weight was lifted and it was amazing how my life was INSTANTLY 200% better.

My wedding might end up being the best day of my life, but it has a HUGE one to top. I count the day I walked out of that office as the best day of my life over the day Phil proposed, so, you know.
On bed rest since Groundhog's Day and every day since has been exactly the same.

I completely agree.  I think I won't consider my wedding day the best day of my life as far as "fun" goes but I think I'll be ecstatic about no longer being in an LDR and finally marrying Andy.
