  • Hi Ladies!

Beanie- WF absolutely sucks. I seriously hate them. I hope you get your card issue fixed soon (or switch banks...).

Adamar- You should make H go get you some wine. Seems necessary to me. :)

On the subject of people commiting suicide... I work in a country club where we do a lot of events/parties/what have you. The majority of our membership is older so we also hold a lot of COLs (celebration of life). A year or so ago we had a COL for a 10 year old boy. His girlfriend broke up with him and he hung himself from a tree in his front yard. I had to stay away the entire time. It was just so shocking and horrible. Makes you wonder what he was thinking to believe that his world was really that bad.

  • Here I was hoping that the problems were fixed and the first post on this thread is a comment, not the OP. Grr...

  • Congratulations Lynda!

For those of you who were here this morning and put up with my WR rant, everything was fine. Way to go friend for freaking me out.
  • Andy - Probably.. by the end of the week.  That's usually how it works, right?
  • Got it ladies, you do it the same way that you pin regular stuff.  Easy Peasy!
  • TK is driving me nuts, so I haven't been on much in the last few days. That and with everything due in the next 3 days (and me with only half done), I've really tried to be productive for school.

But as if I wasn't stressed enough with school, my mom just informed me that my great grandmother fell last week, fracturing her wrist, head trauma, and requiring stitches. She just celebrated her 92nd birthday...

... and FI's grandpa is in the hospital today after his 3rd stroke in a year and a half. Thankfully, this was a mild one and it sounds like there is no additional damage so far (*knock on wood*) than what was still left from the first two, which were severe. FI is taking it kind of hard, and I'm at work, so I feel a little helpless at the moment.

AND we have ants in the house. I haven't seen a single one in the house until today, and suddenly they were all.over.the.place. Seriously, all over the couch, all over the table, all over the floor and wall in the living room. Not cool.

... but on the plus side? Creeper GM is gone at work and our finance manager (who I adore) just accepted a promotion to GM. YAY! Spirits are lifted around here as a result, which has made this a much-less toxic working environment. And major score; he fully encourages me bringing my laptop to work on HW at night.

Hi.  I'm crabby and we have no wine.  H bought himself chocolate milk though.  Way to only think about yourself, H.

[QUOTE]Sorry I disappeared. I was productive!  We banked with Wachovia.  They changed my name absolutely no problem.  When WF took over, they sent us new cards.  It had my maiden name. Called them, they sent me another one, wrong again, they sent me another one, it never actually made it to me, send me this one....wrong again.  Whenever I call they say they can manually change it, but then it auto-corrects over them. It is clear in the system that I have changed my name and everything.  I told H I couldn't handle another phone call with them, so he's calling up there.  The people are nice and concerned about it so I know I shouldn't be mad at them, but darn. I wonder if I'm the only person that is being rejected by them.

Beans, have you considered a credit union?  The one thing the Occupy movement HAS accomplished for me is that they really made me pay attention to how my bank was using my money.  (BofA was the 2nd worst offender in the sub-prime mortgage meltdown, after WaMu, Wells isn't far behind.)  Couple that with the fact that they deactivated my debit card while I was on a work trip and I was d-o-n-e.  (Picture me standing in the middle of the bank, on the phone with the 800 number becasue no one in the bank could help me, and the lady tells me to go home and check my mail for a new card.  Hilarity ensued.)
We recently switched over to a local credit union and I'm pretty stoked.
