Yes, this is so sad but I remember being a youngster and my sister and I would do jazzercise after my mom finished sweating to the oldies. I think my mom still rocks out to her sweating to the oldies vhs tapes in her basement.  She loves that shiit.

<div>Pokemon was awesome. I was only 6 when it first came out, but 4th-7th grade it was the biggest thing ever. I had all the GB games and cards, and could name the 151 original Pokemon in order off by heart. </div>
  • I loved my Get In Shape Girl Gear, as seen here in a picture on my 30th bday cake.  The resolution is not that great, but you get the idea.  And yes, those are roller skates.

  • H was trying to convince me to buy him a DS today just so he could play Poke'mon.

Um, I remember voting for 'blue' to be the next M&M color in 4th grade.

    Have you seen these lists?

  • FI stole my DS and bought Pokemon for it. The only reason I bought it was to play Zelda.

I never liked Pokemon but I loooooved Digimon. I named my dog after Izzy. Pogs were really big when I was in elementary school and every girl wanted to become the spice girls. Nsync fans hated BSB ffans and vice versa.

In highschool, "sex bracelets" were popular.

I remember these. I had one and loved it. I still have mine somewhere, but it doesn't work. I'd probably play it if it did.

Other than that, I can't think of much that was popular from middle school-era. I wasn't really up to date on the latest fads.
  • Getting our own desktop computer. Dial-up and having your own phone line in your bedroom. (I did my senior year) Then we discovered DSL so then the phone line was used for talking.
    Gameboy
Gameboy color (but I never got one)
    Saga
a trend that I remember are a lot of girls would get the bottom of their hair (the back, "baby hairs") shaved so  you only saw it when you're hair was in a pony tail. my "step niece" Had did this. (she's as old as I am)

That's all I remember. Along with some other things that were mentioned as well.
