    I can't even think about the possibility of that actually happening.  And if it was choosing between H or my dog, I would probably tell them to shoot me.

    Ditto. I love my animals, but that person is someone's son/daughter/mother/father/husband/wife and just because I don't care for them doesn't mean someone else out there wouldn't miss them if they were gone.

    This whole senario reminds me of the bud light commercial with the dude who's girlfriend got mad that he'd pick the bud light to save over her.

    All moving sigs drive me bonkers. I think they are cool the first time I see them, then I have to scroll up or down not to see them. But I won't block sigs because that's how I recognize people. I'm too lazy to read a sn.

    i'm a pet owner, and i would choose human life... even if it was one of my pets

    and...

    i called my mom right after FI when i got a positive after peeing on the stick, lol..  what makes it worse is that the second line was very faint and i wasn't really sure (and I told her all that).. but it's like waiting for xmas morning times a million and i just couldn't hold it in.  everyone's different i guess.

    I have to go jump in the shower and go to lunch.  I flame myself for coming home for 2 full weeks for the holiday, and loving the food here so much, which is making me even more fat.  I need to eat nothing but salads when I get back to my real home.

    This makes sense. Two months for it to stick, I can see, but 3-7 weeks just seems like overkill.

    Todd and I have had conversations like "If you were on Hoth and it was just you and Hasselhoff (that's my dog) in the snow, would you cut him open and sleep in him for the night so you could survive like Han did for Luke?" and "You're on a deserted island, and it's just you and Pig (other dog).  Do you eat him when you can't find food?"  These have sparked arguments at times. 

    In case you're wondering...I would be very sad to gut Hoff and have to sleep in him, but if it was the only way to survive...yea.  But I would hope he could live instead and we could survive by cuddling.  I believe in a world where cuddling is the answer.  I would not, however, eat the companion more capable of hunting than me if I had to survive on the island.  So there's that.  It's all about circumstances. 

    I don't know what I'd do if I had to choose between my dog and a human stranger.  I'm reasonably certain I won't ever have to make that choice, so I'm going to choose not to think about it.

    <div>Honestly I think it's sad how serious how many people are taking this hypothetical issue.  I hate all "what if" questions, especially when they are something ridiculous.  I mean seriously, if someone is holding a gun saying choose one or the other, they are most likely going to kill everyone.  And, the odds of it even happening are pretty slim.</div>
