I kind of feel like you don't need my vibes...

  • Ha! That's awesome. But aren't dildos just vibrators that don't vibrate? So, in that case, I actually do need the vibes.
  • I think if you sit on a washer during the spin cycle with one of those suction dildos, you get the best of both worlds. That's just a guess, I swear.

You can totally get vibrating dildos.

I mean...you can, right?  I'd have to ask someone that knows.

Yeah. I don't know. I thought that the distinction between a dildo and a vibrator was the vibration. Hmmm. We need a sexpert. STAT.
  • A vibrator disappeared from my checked luggage when I came home from studying abroad.  True story.

  • Dildos are the things that actually look like a man part.  Vibrators are the colorful plastic ones.  Dildos can come vibrating or not.  I worked at an adult store for four years, so I am a "sexpert" per say.
  • Isn't a vibrator any sex toy that vibrates and a dildo any sex toy that penetreates regardless of vibrational status?

There was a discussion of this on the bump yesterday and folks kept mixing the two up. I kinda wanted to jump in and correct everybody.
  • Thank you sexpert! I stand corrected. Dildos can vibrate. So, the distinction is based on how anatomically correct looking they are. Good to know.
  • "I'm givin' it up to the Lord!"

    You stole my line!!!!
  • I have to say, call me a 15 year old boy, but I love the turn this thread took.  Flame away ;)

What is the best way to clean a dildo?
  • Heh, "vibrational status." It sounds so proper. I'll also vouch for the dildo as man-part thing. When I was in college, a bunch of guys gave my roomate and I a double-sided dildo for her birthday, which they all signed. They wanted us to use it together. Which we did... as a doorstop. That thing was hefty.

  • DUH. Dishsoap and store it in a cotton sock. That's what I've always heard. Is this true, sexpert?

  • They actually sell toy cleaner at those stores, but it's a waste of money.  Warm water and anti-bacterial soap is the best way to clean them.

I've heard you can put them in the dishwasher.  I would never do this, but it's word on the street.
