    Omg I can not believe they flat put lied to me too.... This is ridiculous. :( I actually believed the mother when she said her daughter was seriously Ill what a bunch of liars they are .

    I am still in shock over all this. From what I know for years now Flair is owned by Nonchalance. Hence they are closing too.

    I can confirm that they are BANKRUPT and the illness story is a LIE. This is the name of their bankruptcy lawyer: (I received this name FROM Nonchalance)

    Hello girls,

    My mom and I went to Nonchalance yesterday,  There was a man there as well as 2 other men dressed in suits but claimed they were not lawyers.  The older man, comes out and takes a person in one by one and locks the door.  The only way you are going into the store is if you are there to pick up a dress/dresses.  I was there to get answers like everyone else and he was very nasty and not helpful at all.  He said all questions can go to the lawyer who by coincendence is a bankruptcy lawyer.  My mom ask this man his name and he said no. A little strange no?  Like many of you, I myself still have not received a call from Nonchalance saying they were closing and I had an appointment today to order my flower girl dresses.  I called the store on Tuesday and thats when I heard the recording that they were closed for business.  What ever the situation is, the way they dealt with it was disgusting and unprofessional.  I have 11 bridesmaids and my order for their Jim Hjelm dresses are on hold at Jim Hjelm because they have not received payment.  From what I was told Jim Hjelm is COD so I dont know if my dresses were delivered and then rejected because they couldnt be paid for by Nonchalance.  I know the good thing is that the dresses are ordered and maybe ready but all of my 11 girls have made a deposit of $140.  (8) out of (11) of my girls paid cash.  So the bad thing is, these girls most likely will not be reimbursed and thats bull. I can have the dresses delivered to Park Ave Bridal but the dresses have to be paid for in full, so the original down payment is gone.  Its expensive enought to be in a wedding, why should my girls have to pay again, I cannot ask them to do that.  Its unfair and for a business that has been open for all of these years, they could of done the right thing by all of there customers that obviously trusted them. 

    I believe that all of us brides/bridesmaid should think of filing a civil suit against them together.  I was told that if an individual files a civil suit it can be lengthy but everyone together might be more worth it.  I havent yet contacted their lawyer who probably wont answer but I willl be.  I will be fighting as hard as I can for $ that is owed. 

    Gool luck to you all.  This is going to be a hard fight to win but something should ne done.

    wow, I just can't believe all of these stories about this whole situation... when we were looking for dresses, I had called them to get a price, and we were considering ordering the dresses from there.. I don't know what made us change our minds, but I'm so glad we did.. I can't imagine going through all of this right now.. I feel so bad for all of the girls that are having to deal with this drama right now.. it is pretty messed up, and I hope it all works out in the end for all of you!

    Accordng to their lawyer Robert Schmidt (973.984.1300), they have filed for a chapter 7 bankrupsy as of 7/30.  The lawyers office told me that it will take about a week before the Trustee is appointed and then that person would be contacting everyone.

    Oh my goodness ladies! I had no idea this was even going on.  I tried calling the store to check on my bridesmaids order and hear the message on the machine!  I was never contacted by the owner and my 2 gowns were due in on July 29th but now I am doubtful they were ever even ordered.  I also ordered Bill Levkoff dresses so thanks for all of the tips above.  I guess I will be frantically making some calls on Monday.  I will definitely post back if I have any success.
