I'm allergic to cats.  Other people's cats bother me but mine doesn't, unless I pet her and then rub my eyes or something.

But I heard that kittens tend to aggravate allergies less, and if you get cats as kittens, you get used to their dander and it doesn't bother you as much when they're adults.  I don't know if it's true, but I've always had my cats from kittens and they've never bugged me as much as other people's cats.

  • I will add that air purifiers are amazing

  • I was thinking about Poppy.  Nigel is cute too.

H officially nixed Chairman Meow.  :(
  • Mica, will you share what purifier you got?  I've been looking at them for awhile but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

  • I'm  allergic to cat dander, by DH and I have had our cat, Jentu, since she was a kitten, and she rarely triggers my allergies. I think it comes down to not bathing your cat very much (water dries out the skin and makes the dander worse), and vacuuming regularly. We also use that pet allergin spray, and it keeps everything at bay. I'd imagine that an air purifier would help immensely as well.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Help Me Avoid Schoolwork :) : That's really cool, I write music, or at least I used to, and music that is based on real, raw emotion is so much more timeless than the crap soley generated to make money, that we have filling our airways these days. Most of my and DH's friends are musicians, as well, and they like to turn classic rock songs into folksy tunes. It sounds kind of lame, but DH's best friend plays a version of "All Along the Watchtower" that would blow your mind.

  • We just have a Honeywell that I picked up at Target.  It has a washable filter, which I liked.
  • Two things:
I just ordered my swimsuit (clicky)

Irrational irritation: H just got home. He called me on the way home to tell me he stopped to get a fountain soda, but didn't ask me if wanted one. Why that's annoying me, I don't know.

[QUOTE]Berkeley is sitting next to the dog door and whimpering because she wants to play.  I've been sitting with her, but she's just antsy about the new kittens.  When the boy cat jumped to be with me (he's attached to me, I guess), she sniffed him and tried to lick him, and he was totally calm about it (his foster family had 5 large dogs, so he's not scared).  Here they are on the car ride home They like cuddling with H already The boy cat is very active But girl kitty is a snuggle bug

I wish it would rain here too. I'm pretty sure the sell fancy air purifiers at Sams club for a reasonable price, atleast that's what my sister says...

  • So I decided to try watching Dawson's Creek since yall talked about it earlier. I'm on the pilot. Omg this is awful. You're 15 and just quit smoking? I don't buy it one bit.

I think I need to stop reading reviews.  They all seem to have such mixed reviews, and I get so frustrated.  Ha.

Jill, why would he call to tell you that?  That's weird.  It would irritate me too though.  Because, if he's going to call, why WOULDN'T he ask if you wanted one?  Maybe he thought if you wanted one you'd tell him?

    Jill- Love the suit.

I love Dawson Creek. I'm afraid to watch it al again because it might actually be horriable, and I remember it being soo good.

  • I need a new show. I finished all the Desperate Housewives on Netflix.
  • So I referenced that sleeping bag that Willow was curious about earlier? It started out fully zipped and rolled up. It has since turned into this:

Completely unzipped and laid out, all her own doing. Silly animals.

<div>Yea, don't watch it. I think it was before my time. Or I wasn't allowed to watch it when I was younger. Either way, this is my first time watching it and I can't believe people love it so much. It's probably in the group of movies and shows we all think are wonderful when we're younger but really were never very good. </div>

Indeed. Also, James Morrison, and Fitz and the Tantrums are some favorites of mine.
Really, I think I was born in the wrong decade. DH and I danced to "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole for our first dance, and played music from that era for our entire reception. It was amazing.

  • What a cute pup, MS.
  • J, I do not. I know teenagers do smoke but they way she said it was so "I'm so old that smoking is below me now". Uh, you're 15. I don't know why that bugged me so much.
  • Good night, Heb!
  • Watching X-Files now is NOT as scary as when I was a kid. I still love it, ok?
  • Musu-such a cute puppy!

J&K, he was calling to tell me that he stopped for gas, since he was running late getting home, and then mentioned that he got a soda. But it was just weird and annoying.
