F/U: TMI

So I called the doc. He said all that's happening is break through spotting/bleeding. I guess after this cycle is over, I'll have to set an alarm like someone else said (I think it was Aerin?)

    GL!!

That's good that was all that was going on.
  • Did you actually go, or just talk on the phone? I'm glad it sounds like it's really just from taking the pill at different times, but I think I'd worry until I went in and had a full-on check-up.
  • I'm not that wise, unfortunately.  I actually don't take BCP because of issues with migraines.

I think the alarm is a very good idea.  If your cycle doesn't stabilize after you've been taking the pills at the same time every day, then definitely get in for a full checkup and don't take no for an answer.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I use an alarm to remember to take my supplements and my less-than-sane meds. Its on my phone, and it helps me a LOT. Otherwise I'd forget and be running around malnutritioned and less than sane.

  • Glad you know.

Maybe that's my problem, I just took them when I went to bed.

  • I have an alarm on my phone set to take my BP at the same time every day (I'm very neurotic about preventing babies).  When DH goes on Claritin in the spring, he just goes on the same pill schedule with me (Mainly because he'll forget).

  • Which, sorry I missed on the issue the other day. Hopefully it really just is a matter of getting on a strict schedule with the pill.

I never spot, but once or twice a year Auntie comes to town with extreme vengence. I've asked my gyno about it in the past, and she told me it was normal for that to happen every once in a while. But I certainly would have been convinced something was wrong if she actually visted more than once in a month.

  • It was me!

    Glad to hear everything's ok!
  • I'm glad it was nothing!
  • Happens about 20% of the time with a new pill, in my experience with my patients.
