Why do people feel the need to create posts wherever they feel like, no matter if they are on subject or not? Take, for example, the etiquette board. It is chock full of posts that have absolutely nothing to do with etiquette at all; like whether or not this crcok pot is good. Or asking what everyone is currently doing. There are different boards for a reason. USE them.
Re: Frustrations!!!
And I think that it's decently "on-topic" most of the time.

And this post is different from those posts because . . . . . why?
You don't get to dictate who posts what and having a poll wont do anything. If you dont want to read something, don't click on it. It's pretty easy. So EsmeGrumble. . go grumble elsewhere because this post was pointless.
Edit: PS. I want to answer your poll, but my answer wasnt up there. My answer is D. This is stupid.
Thanks

Second, I know I don't have to click on them, but it is a pain when 5 posts in a row are NWR. It takes away from the more important wedding posts, which is what this site is about. Hence the name "TheKnot."
Third, if the people on this board have formed little communities, etc, why can't they talk about NWR stuff on the Life Boards...which is why those boards were created, I'm sure.
[QUOTE]First of all, I posted this in Chit-Chat...not Honeymoons or Ceremony Ideas, so how is this not on-topic? Because the boards they post on are where they "met" and they don't want to go anywhere else. Why should they have to? Why does this affect your life so much that it makes you frustrated enough to make a whole post about it and police people about it?

Excuse me, shouldn't you have posted this on the "Frustrations!!!" board then?
Also, I think I might be PMSing...especially since all of these comments made me cry.
[QUOTE]I'm sorry for being such a bitch about this. I just didn't see what was so hard about it, but you all have made some very valid points. I'm new here, and I don't understand the ties everyone has to each other. And in my replies on the crockpot thread, I was just being funny, or at least attempting to be...I guess it didn't come across that way. I really am sorry. Remember the internet is not so serious. You are not being a bitch, we just disagree and like the boards how they are.
But please laugh at this, don't cry.

[QUOTE]Well, if you wanted to be super technical, the Knot should only have things that relate to tying knots. 500 different ways to tie knots! With string! And twine! Or rope!

Rachers, FTW!
Can I tie knots with dental floss? Fishing line? Yarn?
Of course! How silly of me!
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Frustrations!!! : Back away from the internet. It wasn't meant to be taken this seriously.

I guess you missed the part where I said I'm PMSing...everything makes me cry right now.

I'm sorry, but PMSing is not a valid excuse. Try again. . .
Someone else used this excuse after blessing me out over nothing. What's the deal with blaming something that happens to you monthly?
I suggest you lurk a bit more since obviously you aren't 'getting it'. . .

FFS . . .
Little bunny foo foo hopping through the forest, picking up the field mice and bopping them on their head. . . .
Did that make you cry?
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Frustrations!!! : Yes. I must be PMSing too!

GREAT! . . .Thanks OP for setting off the PSM cycle train. .
[QUOTE]Well EXCUSE me for not being able to keep my horomones in check. How silly of me to think I wasn't able to control a chemical reaction in my body. And what is it exactly that I'm not getting? I came to these boards for help with my wedding. I got a little frustrated and vented. Almost immediately 10 different posters proceeded to rip me a new one. I tried to apologize, but I've apparently been branded a cry-baby who makes excuses. I tried to be a bigger person and take back what I said. So maybe it's you who's not "getting it."

Uh, yeah, you're the one that branded yourself by stating you were crying over internet posts from random strangers.

Most posters don't like the PMS excuse as it is sexist. Saying that women are crazy/babies during that time is very sexist. Which is why pps are still on your case.

[QUOTE]If I have PMS, does that mean I can go rob a bank and get off using the PMS defense?

Only if it's on the second day of your PMSing, since everyone knows that that's the worst day ;)

So is this a mood swing?

You probably need to see a doctor. Crampy and bloated are normal PMS symptoms. Inability to control your emotions is not normal.

OP - the PMS excuse rarely works here simply because almost everyone here gets PMS. If it is causing you to be irrational and exremely sensitive, then it's time to see a doctor. If you're using it as an excuse...well, that's just sad.
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Frustrations!!! : You can't control the chemical reactions in your body but you can control the actions you take. You chose to post a whiny thread on here because the world wasn't turning exactly as you saw fit. We called you on it, because you're not the first person with this dumbass complaint, and you came back with "It's not my fault!!! It's because I'm a woman!!!!" (Obviously that's not a direct quote) Yes, that is insulting. No one here branded you a cry-baby. We told you to take the internet less seriously. You read into that what you wanted to. Now why don't you go eat a chocolate bar and cry into a pillow? It cares more about your hormonal problems than we do.
