Florists.  Ugh.  Even a "good" deal on my flowers still feels like a rip off.

We are just now starting to look into combining our auto insurance.  Bill, by himself, is $150 or so a month.  I am about $90 a month by myself.  If we go with his company, his premium will actually drop by $100 a year for the two of us.  I really don't get insurance companies at all.

    And one more thing....
My mom died without a will but she listed my dad on EVERYTHING as beneficiary.  Her name is still on all the bank accounts, cell phone, etc.  However, the place where we have banked for 25 years (a very small credit union where they know my family well) would not let my dad deposit a check made out to Mom's estate.  He even had an official copy of the death certificate with him.

They are too expensive! This is one thing I'm scared about!

They should make in season flowers cheaper.....like veggies! Some veggies are cheaper in season (ie grapes) so why can't flowers?

I am so discouraged this morning!  There is this credit card that I have been trying to pay off.  It was one of those promotional deals where you don't pay interest if you pay it off in 12 months.  Usually I don't trust these things, but I knew I could pay it off.  Well then I had an unexpected event occur and didn't get it paid off.  Now they charged me back interest of 1900!!!  How am I ever supposed to pay this stupid thing off? :-(

Julie - Somehow when we moved last year our address never got changed with our auto insurance (though I could *swear* I did it). So yesterday I went on there to change it, and they wanted to raise our premium by over $130! How could it possibly be that much more expensive to insure us in Carrollton than in Denton? I'm going to make a call. Not that it's going to change anything, I just want someone to explain it to me.

I am sorry your having to deal with all that. I know how you feel, my Dad passed away 8 years ago...without a will, etc.  I am his closest living relative and I dealt with similar issues regarding his estate.  Actually, this week I got a letter from the county courthouse where I grew up (very small town), they wanted his signature to "allow" me to continue to take care of the property taxes! Very frustrating. Hope things start to get better for your family.

    Another - this is a B&M kinda...

If you're driving in the right lane... on the 121 Tollway (speed limit = 70) and you decide that you want to block everyone behind you and drive 55 MPH (mind you, in the FAST LANE)... don't brake check everyone and get mad.

    I will hit you.  Rrr..

I am so tired lately - and not motivated.  I've been swamped at work and really, I just don't care.  I don't know what my problem is lately.  I really wish I could shake it off though and get everything done.  Maybe I just feel overwhelmed.  I don't know.

My Guy Best Friend told me yesterday he is planning on proposing to my Girl Best Friend. I've known each one individually for 15+ years. Introduced them 5 years ago and they have been dating for 1 1/2 years. I honestly didn't see this happen just yet, but he told me not to tell anyone. I can't help it and I doubt anyone here will say anything to him..lol

I'm so excited for her!!!!! For them!

The closer I get to the wedding the less I want to go over to my club board. They are stressing about little things that just really don't seem important. Who cares what hand you wear your engagement ring on, or who takes the gifts at the end of the night? You're getting married! Be excited!

Although I will admit the amount of little projects I left to finish in the next three weeks is a little daunting.

I think the only people on our month board that have the right to complain are the ones dealing with major family drama and the girl who's venue burned down. Even that girl isn't trippin' hardcore like some of the others.

Oh, I wish I could... but the thing is, I went chose a less expensive flower (and because it was my mother's favorite flower)... but the quotes I'm getting just amaze me.  I may follow Marissa's lead and DIY the flowers, but I also think that paying for the peice of mind may be worth it.

    Sigh.

Hey girls try going to places like Kroger and stuff.. They have decent deals and pretty much the same thing. All you have to do is pick them up. I haven't decided flowers but pricewise of course they were the best.

I was almost ready to quit my club board these past couple weeks. They are sweet girls, but we have so many new people and they are just freaking out about all kinds of things. We have 9 months people calm down! You have so much time and if you feel like you don't then just knock things out. No reason to freak out just yet.. you have so much time to do it later.

I wonder if prices have gone up since my wedding.  I also wonder if spring brides are quoted more than fall brides.  I had 13 centerpieces, cake flowers and all my personal flowers, and it was well under $3k.

The only thing I found ridiculous was rose petals.  I used silk petals to line the aisle and ordered fresh petals online for tossing and the cake table.

I felt that way too.  There was no consistency really, whatsoever.  We did candle centerpieces which turned out really nice and saved a ton of money.... but I paid over $700 for 4 bouquets, 8 bouts, 2 large altar arrangements, and 3 corsages with tax and delivery.

I didn't even specify what kind of flowers they were as long as they were in my color scheme and had a general look I wanted.  Granted, they came out beautifully...but it still feels like such a waste.

<div>So agree.  WHen I saw the price of the altar arrangements, that was enough to go over the edge.  I went to Kroger, got a big vase and had them put 3 dozen glads in each one...cost me $12, as opposed to the $75 florist wanted for same thing.  And yes, rose petals are ridiculous expensive!!!!</div>
