Evening thread?

Re: Evening thread?

  • I only dated one guy in HS and we dated for a little over 2 years. He went to a different HS than me though which I think is why he didn't drive me nuts. The guys from my HS were janky as hell.
    image
  • I didn't date in high school either.  Mostly because I was hopelessly in love with my best friend (a guy, in case you were wondering) and he was dating someone else.

[QUOTE]I didn't really date in high school either, I was super shy. I had a few random boyfriends of a month, but that was it. My first real relationship was the one before FI, which started when I was 20 and ended right before I turned 25.

<div>The BF before FI was in my Frehsman year. He sprung it on me and I said yes because I didn't know what else to say. He had puppy eyes, and it felt like it would be kicking him to say no. And no one wants to kick a puppy. I ending things pretty quickly though. After two weeks he said "I love you" and over Christmas break he showed up to the NYE party I was at. I told him I was going but strangely enough I never did tell him where it was and he didn't know the hosts....but he found me anyways...and his dad was the one driving. I was creeped out.</div><div>
</div><div>Okay. Yeah. I live in Crazy Town. I realise this now.</div>

I was hopelessly in love with FI from the point of 18 on, but it wasn't unti I was 21 that he wanted to give me the time of day beyond random hook ups. However, by then, I was with my ex and FI didn't pursue me hard enough for me to even consider breaking up with ex.

I had a really bad reputation in high school, but most of the things people said about me weren't true. It probably would have been worse if they knew what I was really doing lol. When I was 16, I dated a 21 year old for a while. The older I get, the grosser that seems to me.

  • Angel - I read a lot of romance novels. That sounds like the plot to several of them lol. It sounds very romantic from where I'm standing - but it must not have been very fun for you in the beginning there : (

Raes - isn't funny how that works? Nothing wrong with it when you're young and know everything - but when you grow up it allll makes sense.

God told my aunt to move to Alaska.

  • If I thought God was telling me to go to Alaska, I'd be really sad. That is not some place I ever want to live. Even though I know it is gorgeous.

  • Luckily, God doesn't tell me things so I do what I want.

  • Yeah, my friend has never not been in a relationship. In HS she had a BF and they broke up and she immediately got with this other guy (rebound). Everyone told me I was a bitch because I said that she was going to break his heart. She met her current BF and told that guy that she wanted to not date anyone for a while when she dumped him. She was with current BF the next day. She's wanted to leave him several times for various different reasons but always finds some reason to stay - and I honestly think it's because she doesn't want to be single. Which sucks, because even though I really like her BF I don't think the relationship is good for her - and I don't see her moving on any time soonl

Oh man, my aunt is freaking nutso. She moved up there after God told her too. Then she moved to Arizona. Then back to Alaska. Then to Tennesee. Now in a few days back to Arizona. As much as she tries to say God is telling her to, I find it really ironic that these happen to be where guys match.com hooked her up with.

  • All right.  This is a fun convo, but it's almost pumpkin time for me and H isn't home that often.  He flies to OH for the big move tomorrow so I'll be around then.

    C-ya!
  • I know someone that follows Gods orders. And apparently God helped him get a pizza when he really wanted it. I left the table at that point.

At the time of the conversation a little girl was missing. Turns out she had been raped and then murdered. Okay dude, sure. God helped you get your fecking pizza while ignoring the fact that an innocent, defenseless child was being murdered. Whatever makes you happy.

    /end debbie downer

On a happier note - ALL FOUR of my dresses fit well and looked flattering. I picked out a cute pink one that I've actually never worn because it didn't look as good at home as it did at the store. Now it does : )

Poke, it's like Cinderella, how she turned into a pumpkin at midnight.

ETA - Uh, that's not what happened. I'm drunk. Her carriage turned into a pumpkin.

I can AW a proper picture when I'm all spruced up tomorrow if you want to see it. And the dress has pockets (even though you don't see it in the pic). I love dresses with pockets <3

Angel - literally LMAO at that. And yes - I think some people might have that reaction. I would probably wait until they want to friend you, or at least ask them before you do it and explain that they're just on hers. But I'm over cautious like that.

    Musu - I agree

ETA - I do agree with your response to angel, but I was talking about the pre-destination thing haha
  • FB is the devil.  I'm totally the asshole that ignores FB friend requests.  Though I'm friends with way more knotties now than I ever was before.  I'm going soft.
