Jessica Simpson?

Re: Jessica Simpson?

  • sorry but she doesn't look fit, in my opinion, she needs to lose 15-20 lbs. I loved her figure in dukes of hazzard, you could tell she worked out hard.

  • That pic looks like she's Courtney Love on the way to rehab.

Married in Vegas - June 2011

  • I think she is probably unhappy with her weight now because I know she likes to be thinner and firmer. For ME getting that shape back, which I have when I am smaller will be great but I imagine she feels huge. I would have too at her age, because in high school I could not keep weight on. I am 5'7 and I rarely weighed more than 105-110 then. Ahhh, that was a long time ago!

The dress is a size too small, and I think she just needs to let go of the whole platinum blond thing. She has brown eyes, and her colorist should be doing a lot better for whatever s/he is getting paid. She is getting that fried hair trashy look. A more natural blondish or better yet light brown would be nice on her.
  • You guys are harsh! lol.

[QUOTE]I saw her wax figure in Madame Tussaud's once and she was crazy thin.  And that place takes ridiculous molds of the people to make it accurate, so I think it was actually her shape.  It's sad that she gets so much flak for her weight, but I do think she needs a better stylist.  Remember those crazy high-waisted pants she wore? They were hideous on her.

Would this be the wax figure?

  • It is very Mad Man. I think it looks better on her than stick thin, though. When she first started out, she was thin and it made her butt look SO flat. It was very distracting to me, not sure why. At least now she will have some sort of curve.

  • Absolutely, 8 out of 10 women would kill for the body she has right now. I would love to have that body again! That Dukes of hazzard shot, though wow... That is amazing. If I had THAT body I am not sure I could stop admiring myself long enough to leave the house. Young or not, she had to have been working out 4 hours a day and eating nothing but salad and chickpeas.

I agree with you to a certain extent because I do feel like people who live their lives in the public eye should expect some level of scrutiny, but the beating that poor girl has taken over a few lbs is ridiculous. I think she looks great. She looked great before and she looks great now.

I agree. I think holding anyone, including celebrities, to unreasonable standards doesn't do society any favors. I'm sure I'm curvier than Jessica Simpson in that photo. So I guess I have about 20 pounds or so to lose too.

If she's healthy, I really do not care.

Ohh, I am past "curvy" at this point for sure. 20 pounds? You lucky girl! I was not saying the media should beat up on her the way they have, at all. They are crazy anyway. remember anyone when Jennifer Love Hewitt was suppose to be "fat" in the bikini shots? OMG, how many people would be overjoyed to be "fat" like she was in those pics!

It is unfortunate that being uber-thin is a "job requirement" these days for celebrities. Yet, it is what it is. Some of my job requirements suck, too. That, and I wonder what on earth she was thinking with the high waisted pants last year? I swear, those things are flattering to 1 out of 600 people, all weight/size issues aside. That is why we all looked weird in the 80's. Between those and the "baggies" (tapered legs) and the skinny skinny jeans, there was no winning in jeans at all.
  • I think I recall reading somewhere that those "waist mom jeans" were like a size 8. THAT is not fat or heavy, unless you're 3'11''.

You know how huge Schwargenegger looks in the Terminator? Ever seen his costume for that movie?
Yeah. Old me? Couldn't put a thigh in it, even if both legs were sewn together.

After those pictures came out, she became the temporary poster girl for average sized women. Then, months later she did a spread with People magazine after she went on a crash diet and lost 20 pounds. In the interview she said things like, "I can't wait to eat a corn dog after this!" Yeah. That's not healthy.

  • I lvoe the curvy figure, but she needs to learn how to dress it. Skin tight is not always the most flattering, and the boob shelf it creates is horrible.

Nope, not healthy at all. What ticks me off about the celebs though is that on the one hand they talk to magazines that want to give them good publicity for being a Size 000 again, and then when they hit that "big fat" size 8, they talk about the tragic media pressure to be thin. Yes, there is a lot of media pressure to be thin and when you do "People" interviews to chat about your crash diet, you are feeding that. Totally.

  • She makes a fortune off her accessories and perfume lines.  I'd say she has a little bit going for her outside of her looks.
