I know it's "Hump Day", but I always feel like it's "Slump Day" - it's the middle of the week, and I'm severely lacking motivation. So what do I do when I'm bored? Think about food!

Whenever they have it, black raspberry ice cream with chocolate sprinkles, with whipped cream and TWO cherries! Otherwise, mint chocolate chip or peppermint stick is a good stand-in flavor.

Even though I posted this question, it's super hard for me. I love food too much! I will say I think it's a sushi meal I had in NYC at Sushi of Gari, a Michelin star-rated restaurant that is INCREDIBLE! Expensive, but incredible.
3) What is your BF/FI/DH's favorite meal that you make? Does he make a meal you love?
He loves the chicken picatta I make, and I love when he makes french toast.

A seafood restaurant near me has free oysters on Wednesday nights with the purchase of a mojito - we're going tonight! So excited!

Mashed potatoes all the way!
I try tons of different ice cream flavours, but my all time favourite is vanilla...preferably French Vanilla. Does anyone know what makes it French?

So hard to compare. At the moment I'm reminiscing about some amazing paella that I had in Spain.

I don't cook it very often but BF loves when I make any sort of lamb dish. For me, BF doesn't ever use a recipe...consequently, things are never duplicated. I love any of his Mexican style dishes though.

Hahaha, anything in the US. Eating out in Canada is expensive by comparison.

I make a lot of stuff he likes, but he always gets really excited whenever I make pulled pork. He makes killer eggs over-easy (which I always manage to screw up), and he made me chicken parm once that was really good (and so sweet).

I don't like ice cream anymore. It's a new thing with me. I just don't like it.

Oh my... Hard one. I'd say this place FI and I went to last year up at his cabin. I dont' even remember what it was called. But FI got a steak and I got a fajita, and it was AMAZING. Best thing I've ever eaten. Or else the steak I got for my birthday dinner with FI. That was also delicious.

That I make: Shells. It's pasta shells stuffed with a bunch of stuff like sausage, cheese, sauces, spices... etc.
That he makes: Well, he makes this amazing chocolate raspberry cake (that he knows I love). That's my favorite. He doesn't really cook otherwise.

There is a sushi place by me where you pay $25 a person and it's all you can eat sushi. They bring you platter after platter of sushi and they won't bring you another platter unless you eat everything off the first.

Pasta. With anything. Marinara, pesto, cheese, you name it.
Depends where I am. I'm likely to go for a cheesecake-flavored ice cream with cookie dough if I'm at Coldstone. Pistachio when I used to go to Carvel in NY. (Theirs doesn't have the actual nuts, yay.)
2) All time best meal you ever ate?
In Paris, I had the most incredible dessert ever--and I've had some fantastic desserts! It was at Le Procope, the oldest cafe in Paris. I ordered the Profiteroles, aka puff pastry with vanilla ice cream inside, drizzled (okay, drenched) in warm chocolate sauce. You wouldn't think that would be the best dessert EVER, but when each of the three elements is handmade from scratch on-site in Paris and is absolutely perfect in taste, texture, and temperature, OH MY GOD. People throw around the word "orgasmic" to describe great food, but sorry--this one really, truly was. Fireworks went off in my brain. I forgot everything except what was in my mouth. The world stopped. Seriously.
ETA: And by oldest cafe in Paris, I mean 1686.

He has a couple faves, but one of them is definitely my family's cheese souffle. We traditionally make it on Xmas day, but he requested it again, so I made it last night.

Ladies' Night at a place here in town called Blackwater. Five-dollar martinis and apps.
5) What's your comfort food?
ICE CREAM. Ben and Jerry's. Also Mac & Cheese out of the box. Or grilled cheese dipped in tomato soup. Also, kettle corn and m&ms, accompanied by Fresca with orange juice in it. Also, liquor.

Cookie dough. Always. Used to be moosetracks, then I became sensitive to peanut, and that was the end of that.

It was at the high-end seafood place at Disney World in Florida, and it was a risotto with scallops. Absolutely delicious!
3) What is your BF/FI/DH's favorite meal that you make? Does he make a meal you love?
I don't know what his favourite meal is that I make. I mostly just know what he does not like. I'm pretty sure he's keen on my stir-fry, which is a good thing, because I love it and make it often.
He doesn't cook, so I don't have a favourite meal of his. It's too bad, too, because I think he could be a very good cook. Grilling steak, which he does very well, is the extent of his talents.

We honestly never eat out, so I have no idea.
5) What's your comfort food?
Probably ice cream, which is a real problem since I'm supposed to avoid dairy, particularly when stressed. I also like pasta and rice, and when I'm in a bad mood, I'm more likely to build my meals around them.
Life is good today.

Sushi at a local place that FI introduced me to, salmon rolls melt on my tongue like butter. Ohhh hungry now.

He loves it when I make Tater Tot Casserole, he can eat a whole baking dish worth on his own. His Garlic soup with crusty bread, he actually made it for me last night. I tell him this is why I agreed to marry him. And if he ever makes me mad just make the soup and all will be forgiven.

50% off dinner at a sushi place in Laguna Beach, which sits right on the beach so we can watch the waves and the sunset. We usually spend at least $100 for two of us.

LoL! That would have to be mashed potatoes and gravy. Sometimes I add some mac and cheese to it.

It's the same every year - Thanksgiving! All my favorite foods in 1 meal. Can't beat it!

BF love's my pot-roasted meatloaf. He can't get enough of it. (Idea: maybe i'll make it for v-day next month!) He's not really a cook...but he can grill anything and I love that quality in a man!!

I make Creamy Italian Chicken in the crockpot, and he really likes that. BF doesn't cook much other than chicken and brown rice, but he did make an amazing pot roast recently.

mint chocolate chip is my go to, but lately I have been going to yogurt places where you can put anything in your bowl and I usually get a little of everything. If I go to a marble slab then its cheesecake with oreo and strawberries.

A couple weeks ago I went to a neighborhood italian place (Milano's) and got this chicken dish which was to die for. It was a chicken breast sliced in two then cooked. So they were crispy (I'm not a big fan of the texture of most meat). Then there was ricotta between them. It had zucchini, squash, sundried tomatoes and one seasoning on it. All sauteed in garlic butter. With noodles on the side. I totally wasn't expecting that much from looking at it, but I completely ignored my BF while I was eating it.
3) What is your BF/FI/DH's favorite meal that you make? Does he make a meal you love?
I'm not sure if he has a favorite, but right now he really likes tilapia with a parmesan sauce (?) on top. His favorite dessert is an extra moist chocolate cake with andies mints in it. Sometimes we make makhani (indian butter) chicken together and its really good.

At Milano's, where I had the best meal ever, they had a coupon where you buy a meal and get another for 2.99. Thats when we started going there, but now the coupon has changed to 4.99.

Ice cream by far! Although potatoes (usually waffle fries) or any type of pasta are a pretty good substitute.
Blue Bell (a Texas creamery -- not sure if you weirdos in the rest of the country have it) has amazing seasonal flavors. Blackberry cobbler, key lime pie, peaches n cream.... ahhhh

I think Blue Bell is only a Texas thing. BF has family in Texas, and we visit them every summer. They buy us gallons of Blue Bell. Blackberry Cobler and Birthday Cake are the best!

The best meal ever was a 1/2 pound hamburger and a blue moon beer after a long all day hike. We got back to our campsite and after the campfire was reduced down to coals, the bf made the hamburgers over it... so yummy and delicious! I've never had a better meal in my life!

He loves loves loves my manicotti and my turkey meatloaf. I love it when he bbq's steaks for us on the charcoal grill.

If I'm at Marianne's in Santa Cruz (best ice cream EVAR), I get the cocoanut fudge. It's coconut ice cream with a rich fudge ribbon. Yum!

Oh gosh, I don't know. The food from Rapanui Island Cafe on the Big Island of Hawai'i was really good. I also love the butterfish from Roy's. Also the coconut shrimp from Market Broiler is one of my favorites.

Best poke ever! was at a Hawaiian market on Oahu near Kailua beach. Stopped there for snacks and I couldn't help buying a poke that they made fresh that morning and packaged into a plastic box. Ate it straight with a fork and came back the next day for more.

I don't really cook. But once BF and I move in together I want to try making him shrimp and grits. And he makes this thing he calls pizza loaf. Kinda a mix between a calzone and stromboli. I could eat it every single day.

I just found a restaurant that has flounder for $6.95 on Tuesdays. I have to see if its any good.

I love a good open faced roast beef sandwich. With gravy on the fries too.

Hmmm...thats a hard one. I really really love just a good burger. There is a place in my hometown that makes the BEST BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger. Its amazing!

I make spicy chicken fajitas and he LOVES them. Pretty much anything BF makes is amazing. He is a FANTASTIC cook. Everyone always tells him he should've gone to cullinary school and become a chef.

We just went out to pizza with a couple of friends last weekend where the pizza was really good and insanely inexpensive.

Hmm...i love doughnuts. they don't fit into my diet at all but I'm addicted to them. I'm sad I can't have them anymore.
2) All time best meal you ever ate? BF took me to The Melting Pot for our 1 year anniversary and it was seriously amazing. Although I will say the dessert was the best part. Chocolate brownies and Strawberries dipped in white and milk chocolate fondue.....I just died and went to heave.
3) What is your BF/FI/DH's favorite meal that you make? Does he make a meal you love? He's a big fan of my Chicken enchiladas and my chicken in general. He's so adorable when he cooks but not a lot of it is edible
