[QUOTE]In Response to Re: What do make with FRESH pineapple? : I second this.  Minnesota produce is just not good.

This is true, not with tropical things.  At least we get decent tomatoes all year from that hydroponic farm in southern MN.

I hope the MN produce is ok - I'm moving there soon.

I wouldn't know, I don't eat tomatoes.  I have issues with their texture.  We seem to get good red apples though.

I'm sorry, I'm afraid you cannot move to Minnesota unless you pay the toll of one of your cats to me.  It's in our state consitution. I'll take the orange and white one.  Ktnx!

You are welcome anytime to come play with them!  The orange and white one is the naughtiest kitten ever - mostly because he knows he's cute enough to get away with anything.

I'm going to go the alcohol route as well and say Stoli Doli's:

    • 1 fresh pineapple, cut into pieces
    • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle good quality vodka

    Directions
    1. Place the pineapple pieces into a large container, and pour the vodka over them. Cover, and refrigerate for 3 to 4 days. Strain out pineapple, and serve vodka over ice with a pineapple garnish.

    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • mix curry powder with cinnamon and vanilla yogurt and pinnaple chunks and chopped onion, in a gallon ziploc bag, marinate cubed chicken or shrimp for a few hours, then cook in a skillet over medium heat. Serve over rice.
  • Bi-oh-rama
    Now with more wedded bliss.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

  • The best way is dipped in white chocolate. The second best way is by itself. But if I'm going to use it for a meal, I put it with grilled chicken and slather both in barbeque sauce. :D
