I think I will just go with doing them in March...I really want to do them and that is probably the earliest we can get them done. We don't have a lot of out of towners and most everyone that is invited already knows when it is. So hopefully it will all work out!

    Tiffany- It's paint. haha. It's a paintball :)

Dana- I have two family friends that are both due this upcoming weekend. Who were supposedly supposed to pop last weekend. They're both having girls. And i can't wait to meet them :)

Ashlee-  I've wondered what the green stuff is too!  And yay!  Glad you liked the plyo!  Its definitely the one that I feel really gives me a workout.  I know that lifting weights does too, but you feel it more when you're really sore and all sweaty, you know? :-)

OHHH a paintball!!  I think the fact that it looks big, and had stars on it threw me off.   That makes so much more sense now.  :-)

[QUOTE]I am so excited DH and I finally agreed to start looking for a house to buy. Hopefully, we can find something we like in Grapevine. I like the city, but we can get more for our money there. I hope grapevine is a good area. I feel like I have a lot of research to do.

Being a Grapevine native - you really don't get "more for your money" here than other places.  Yes, I love Grapevine and will eventually buy a house here too, but if you're looking for a lot of bang for your buck - try the Fort Worth area.

I just wanted to drop in and say hi! Life has been crazy (but amazingly great) with working and going to school.

I still lurk on the weekends when I get  a chance but I really miss the every day chatter with you girls!

I like fort worth, but we do most of our activities  in Dallas. That is why we like the Grapevine area because it is in between everything. We currently work in westlake/ southlake, but we are mostly in dallas all the time. Thanks for telling me it is a great place. I don't know much about the area.

I agree!  It also depends on what part of Fort Worth you look in.  I like our little area in Bedford.  We have a pretty good size house with a great backyard and we paid around $115k so that's not to bad, IMO.  DH looked at a lot of houses before he found this one.  The yard is what got him.  Our street is a circle and we are in the middle so it's quite and we have no fears of our little one being in the front yard by herself.

We watched The Social Network last night- our first trip to the movie theater since last summer, I think.

Mix 102.9 is changing their morning show again.  I don't pay much attention to it but heard the announcement this morning.

I've often wondered what the green guck is.  Knowing it's a paintball makes me see it in a different light.

Then definitely try Carrollton or Flower Mound... just to open up your parameters a little bit.  If you're willing, there's also really nice new homes up in McKinney area.

Haha. Yeah, it's a more expensive type of ball, reason for the design. I photograph alot of local and national events for paintball. So it's kind of something that I wanted in my signature. I had a feeling i'd get asked what it was one day :P

Sarah- I for sure know what you mean! I like feeling a burn in my legs...and abs. More so than my arms, so the pylo and arX are my favs. But i like the arms too :)

My cubicle-mate is 37 weeks and about to pop. She has been 3cm dilated for about a week, and i am all kinds of paranoid that she is going to go into labor right next to me and i will have to drive her to the hospital!

I am souper excited about the baby tho. I have had baby fever lately talking about all the fun baby things with her. I need to hold one soon so i can hit the snooze button on my biological clock.

Hooray for house hunting tho. That is a really fun time!

EDIT: Oh and i second the McKinney comment. Lots of bang for your buck up there, but depending on where you work traffic is nasty.

For some reason I thought the green stuff had something to do with the dogs (in Ashlee's signature).  I could never figure it out.

I got a french manicure on Friday and it's already peeling off.  It's so frustrating.  I would like to keep doing it, but it's expensive to do it every week.  I would just do fake nails, but they mess up my nails so much.  Anyone have any other ideas?

    Bellagrace,
I lived in Euless for ten years and I spent a lot of time in Dallas.  You can take 183 to east to where it joins up with 114 and go down 482 (I think) to NW Hwy and be in Dallas very quickly.  It was also a good way to FW and Arlington and nice and close to your work areas too.
  • edited December 2011

I haven't found anything in Carrollton that is a big bang for your buck, unfortunately.  Well over $100/sq ft for something live-able...and even some things that need a lot of work are over $100/sf.

Now The Colony.... there are some STEALs there.  No lie.

My mom gets the gels and loves it!  She had fake for so long but she needed to get a new set and one of the ladies at the salon told her to try the gel and she won't go back to the fake anymore.

Julie I agree the HEB is really in the middle of everything and easy to get to Dallas or Fort Worth.

I got a manicure on Saturday (thanks, little brother!) and it started chipping two days later.  There have been some manicures that last longer than others but I definitely don't do the French manicure anymore.  That one seems to chip the quickest.  However, the Day Spa Nails on Hall Johnson in Colleyville/Grapevine seem to have the longest lasting manicures for me.  I think they use a different top coat than the others do.  You could also try buying your own top coat and adding a layer once you get home.  Couldn't hurt!

Thanks Brooke!  I think I will try it out.  I did a little "mini" research and gel nails have to be dried with a UV light.  So, the only downside is exposing your hands to UV light is like tanning for the hands.  (So, yes - continued exposure could put you at risk for skin cancer on your hands).  It does last at least two weeks, but is a bit hard to get off.

I think maybe it would be perfect for brides who want to have a pretty manicure for the wedding, but don't want to get fake nails or worry about a regular manicure chipping.

I'm wondering if it would matter if I wore SPF lotion.  Hmm...
