Hey ladies! I've been lurking around here for a couple months now, and wanted to introduce myself now. I'm 29, and my BF is 31. We've been together for about 7 months now, and hope to move in together this summer, with an engagement possibly a year after that. I'm a graphic designer and he owns a coffee shop. Though we talk about marriage and stuff, we are definitely not planning a wedding at this point! We're having so much fun where we're at. Oh - and he's like a 31-yr-old kid... he's got a motorcycle and his arms are sleeved up, one with Transformers, the other with Ninja Turtles. So fun! We have date nights where get a cheap pizza from the place on the corner, wine from Trader Joe's, and play games all night.
I LOVE potatoes - any way, shape, or form! Especially with cheese on top. As for wine, I don't like white, but I've never met a red that I don't like - red wine and chocolate are like a food group over here. I can't really answer about Harry Potter because I've never read any of the books or seen the movies. I can't remember the other questions that you girls ask, if there are any, on the newbie posts.
PS - That post "Where are all the nice ladies" or whatever it was called?! OMG. I was pretty much on the floor dying. I had to literally run/drag myself to the bathroom before I peed myself! I'm still laughing just thinking about it!

Re: New! And NOT crazy!
Do you like coffee?
I'd also second the request to see some of your design work. I love admiring other peoples' styles.
I like you, and your BF sounds awesome... motorcycles, tattoos AND he owns a coffee shop?! Girl, hold onto that one ;-)
Do you have any furbabies?
What do you enjoy on your pizza?
Favorite type of music?
You forgot the most important one: Pets.

I concur with Audgie's request. Hi and welcome. Come stay and play. What are you reading now?

My question is:
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
You sound normal. Please stay. Since I am in such a good mood today, tell me what is awesome about YOUR day today. Then tell me what kind of graphic design you do. You can see my awesome self-taught skillz at Peek and Yaga's wedding website. Also I've really always wanted to own a cafe.

Thanks! Well today I get to relax, no work. So that's pretty awesome! I do all print design work, I don't do web or anything like that- I suppose I should learn though.
I loooove coffee. Lattes especially! The vanilla latte with caramel is my go-to lately. With whipped cream, of course.
Hi Det! Welcome to NEY! Do you have any furbabies? If so, please provide pics :) Where did you go on your last vacation? Do you watch TV?
Posted by rdr716
Thank you!
Furbaby pics just up. We went to the west side of Michigan for New Year's, to a friend's beach house on Lake Michigan. It was a lot of fun. I do watch some TV - The Office, some of those true crime shows especially 48 Hours Mystery, The Bachelor/Bachelorette. I'm a bit limited since I don't have cable. I seem to always catch Friends reruns!
YAY! Another normal newbie :-) I like you, and your BF sounds awesome... motorcycles, tattoos AND he owns a coffee shop?! Girl, hold onto that one ;-) Do you have any furbabies?

Yay thank you! Yes, he is pretty awesome :) He feeds me coffee. If only there was an IV for it.....
Welcome! What do you enjoy on your pizza? Favorite type of music?
Posted by CCO2012
I'm a veggie girl for pizza. My fave - lots of cheese, green peppers, mushrooms, red peppers (bell peppers), and jalapenos.
As for music I like a lot of most types. I don't like country or metal. But I like almost everything else!
Yay! Another Detroiter. Well technically I'm in Ann Arbor. Are you originally from Michigan?
Posted by swhite2012
Yep, Michigan born and raised! And I'm not technically in Detroit either but oooohhhhh so close, I'm a block from city limits.
Hi Noob! Welcome! What is your favorite kind of cheese? Do you cook?
Posted by NurseyK
Favorite cheese? Just ONE?! Um.... Muenster. No... Colby Jack. No... Gouda. All of the above?
I cook a little. I don't like to though!

<div>Are you going to the Auto Show? I'm super excited for it. I'm kind of a car nerd.</div>
Was Hunger Games mentioned? If not, have you read? If not, why not?!
Hi there fellow graphic designer!! Do you do pinterest? Are you in house designer, firm, or free bird?
Posted by hellotarra
Hi! I'm actually on a waiting list to get a pinterest account. So... not yet. And I have been an in house and firm designer in the past, but right now I'm a free bird and I'm liking it! How about you??

I'm not sure if I'm going yet, I want to!
Welcome! Im glad we share the same addiction for vanilla lattes, however I minus the whip! Everything on your pizza sounds amazing besides the shrooms and jalapenos, no meats on my pizzas! Was Hunger Games mentioned? If not, have you read? If not, why not?!
Posted by Stina51286
I have not read Hunger Games, but it's on my list! I haven't gotten to it yet.
Hello fellow Noob! I live in Chicago now, but I consider myself part Michigander having spent 4 years in college on the West side. Are you a Sparty girl or do you cheer for the Maize and Blue?
Posted by suzie211
Sparty!!
Welcome Det - cute cats. Do you like to travel often? Favorite things to do in your spare time (if you have any)?
Posted by doubleSS07
Thanks!
I don't get to travel much, but I want to. Money's just way too tight, so when I do go anywhere I'll go to "up north" in the summer - northern Michigan. It's gorgeous there. In my spare time... I like doing photography, watching movies, playing games, and hanging out with the BF.
