First Look

Re: First Look

  • We did the first look photos, and let me tell you how adorably emotional DH got as I marched down that aisle ever closer to him.  Our photographer got some great shots of him just takin in the sight of me coming toward him.  Neither of us was any less emotional for having seen each other, and we got some incredible photos around the city where we married without making our guests wait.
  • We didn't do it (first look) and it never crossed our minds to do it any other way
  • We are definitely doing pictures before the wedding I think it will be the same as waiting til my walk down the aisle..I am so NOT traditional in that sense!

  • I dont think I will. I want to see his face when he first sees me and get that on camera. Infact I want it to be a surprise for everyone (except the bridesmaids of course). I do plan to have enough time in between for photos though because I am having a coctail reception, and there are attractions nearby for out of town guest to check out (ex. an aquarium) to kill time.

  • FI is pretty traditional, and doesn't want a first look.  What he doesn't know is that I am taking it a step farther.  A la William & Kate, he will have his back to the aisle until I arrive at the altar!!

  • What my photographer suggested was, that if you do NOT want to peek before the ceremony, what you COULD do is, before the ceremony, take the photos of the bride and groom separately(bride with bridesmaids, family, etc) and the groom with his party, and then in between the ceremony and reception is when we would be getting our photos done together :)

just a friendly suggestion, good luck! :)
