Wedding Party

Did your ring bearer match the groom?

This is the first time I heard this and frankly I don't care, but I am just curious what other people did.  My flower girl's mother just went and bought her a flower girl dress.  I believe she asked me what my dress looked like, but I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know how similar it is or isn't.  I think we will just have the ring bearer wear whatever the groomsmen are wearing just in a small size.  He is 10, so he's not that young.

Re: Did your ring bearer match the groom?

  • We weren't planning on it.  I'm not a fan of making children look like mini-brides and mini-grooms.

  • We didn't have a ring bearer, but I think I would rather have him match the groomsmen rather than the groom

  • That's exactly what I want to do, Stage.  Putting the FG in a big poofy white dress just feels like another part of indoctrinating little girls to grow up believing that their wedding day will be the defining event in their life.  No thank you!

  • Nope, ours was in a mini tux, but not matching the groom in any way.

  • Nope. Our RB is wearing khakis, a yellow button down, and this adorable blue and yellow argyle vest from The Children's Place.
