I worry about retaliation too, but honestly, whether he was dead or alive, we are always going to have to worry about terrorism, whether international terrorists or domestic. Look at all the nutcases in our own country, who are AMERICAN and rally against this country. Anything can happen at any time, really. So do you sdit and worry about it or go on with your life?

I agree with certain things adding fuel to the fire, I mean, I wouldn't be caught celebrating in the streets, but I'm glad the *ucker is dead.

And to be honest, I don't believe they really buried him at sea. I bet they shipped his body back to the States and have it somewhere. To further test DNA etc. Just my opinion.

Good Morning. I just heard a few minutes ago that Osama is dead. I smiled. Maybe gas prices will go down. Oh no, wait, something happened in the middle east, better crank them up a few more cents.

I like that shirt Rosie. What shoes would you wear with it? Some killer coloured heels? Red perhaps? Green? Blue? Purple?

Yesterday I made throw pillows in apple green and ocean blue. I love them! I am doing a demo at a ladies night and decided to make pillows that I can use at Fl's and I's place after. I even took a pic to show you ladies and forgot my camera chord. Fail. :: sad face ::

This weekend is my first shower and b-party! I have no idea what to expect. lol.

Good morning all. I'm exhausted, up too late watching the news like most other people. It was very tempting last night to head down to the party in front of the Whtie House, but I think I'll just take a walk down there at lunch today. Something tells me it'll still be hoppin. At the same time, I'm kind of extra hoping for the Tucson transfer now. Not sitting around DC waiting for the possibility of retaliation sounds pretty good.

Some of them are ok. She took about 1500 pictures and only gave us a little over 400. I'm going to try and get the rest of them out of her. I can't imagine that 1000 of the pictures she took are unusable.

My boss just made me feel like garbage. I love working here sometimes

Worst part is, I spent an hour Saturday night freaking out for whatever reason about how I don't want to work here anymore, and that I haven't heard from the job I applied to back in April. I feel like I'm going to be stuck here forever. And that makes me sick to my stomach sometimes. Kind of like today.

I'm not a Christian Habs, but I still understand. I believe very much in forgiveness, but I also believe that everything/everyone has a purpose. It can be hard to see the purpose of so much evil, but we as a people are never so cohesive as when our community is facing a challenge or celebrating a victory. One need only look around at how neighbors can be there for neighbors, the way individuals manage to find the best in themselves so that they can be there for strangers to see that the counterpoint to evil is finding the good in ourselves. This particular evil has run it's course, and I'm grateful for that even though I can never be grateful for violence.

Manda, I wrote it on FB this past Friday, but I went out for my first long bike ride since I broke my pelvis a few years ago. Biked 14 miles, and I was really excited about it. I had told my boss and coworker that I was going on a ride on Friday, so today I told them how far I biked. The responses were "So? I'm almost 60 and I did 30 miles last year", and "You should be doing 14 miles every day." And you know, it just made me feel like shiit. I realize that to a lot of people 14 miles isn't that big of an achievement, but it was to me.

I've been here at this job for four years this August, and I've been feeling more and more frequently that I need to make a change. This place is driving me crazy.

Morning! Manda, I am with you. We need a day off work for all this. I can't stop yawning this morning. I didn't even stay up late watching the news. I had already gone to sleep but FI came to wake me up to tell me the news, I just said "Oh really? That's good" then rolled over and went back to sleep. I'll probably keep the news on at work today though.

LVB, I love that photo. I watched Obama and Seth Meyers' remarks from the Correspondants' Dinner last night and loved them. Hysterical.

I feel like a lot of people on the news and in my Twitter feed (where I've seen reactions so far) are taking things too far in their reactions one way or another. The people celebrating on the news - guys, it's a good thing, but let's not go overboard. Terrorism still exists, Al Qaeda still exists, and like other people said, it seems a little weird to be SO excited about someone's death, even if he was a pretty awful guy. People on my Twitter saying "well, this doesn't end Al Qaeda or terrorism or anything at all" - slow your roll, negative Nancys. This is a positive thing, no need to jump straight to the fact that it isn't going to revolutionize the world.

I have nothing to report from my weekend because I slept for most of it. The most exciting thing I did was work for 4 hours yesterday and finish a project I've had hanging over my head because H's flight home was delayed 7 hours, which gave me extra time to myself. Woo hoo.
