It never looks as good in the picture, but that might be in part because I don't have a fancy camera too. I'm definitely not a photographer either :)

Ha that's what I do too, and then I'm left with tons of almost the same picture because I take so many just in case one wasn't a good one.

That is my technique too. :) My H tends to get annoyed with my excessive picture taking. I am trying to tone it down.

We actually stayed in Cartagena and did a day trip excursion to Rosario Islands. The water is beautiful there. Unfortunately the sea life wasn't as awesome as I had hoped. It was my first time snorkeling and I really enjoyed it. Feel free to PM with any questions!

Dot, if you'd really like a camera, I'm planning on eventually selling mine. It's an old olympus, a little heavy, but it still takes great pictures. I got a nikon (birthday/christmas/graduation gift) for a photography class so I don't use it anymore. all the pictures i posted except the pictured rocks one were taken with the olympus. let me know if you're interested.

I love taking pictures but I am not sure that I am particularly good at it. I'm jealous that FH's pics come out better than mine which I blame on the camera. He may get me a new one (point and shoot) for my birthday but he also may get himself a DSLR so the jealousy will continue!
