Well since Disneyworld is building the castle, village and house of my favorite Disney movieafter we'll be there for our HM, FI wants to take me back there for our first anniversary so I can go to the Beasts castle and Belle's house/village. He was thinking that for one day and Harry Potter World if we can afford it. Not a whole week down there, but I wouldn't mind.

We've also talked about all kinds of other little trips we want to take like going to Brown County - IN, Ichthus (my brother and I swore we'd go back next year and drag FI with us because we miss it too much), Columbus Crew game, buying our Reds power pack tickets again next year (my dad and brother may join in as well).

Fi is really good at making me shut the wedding off every once in a while and I really appreciate it.

We're moving a few months after the wedding and then TTC hopefully around Christmas. That should keep us plenty busy.

I think your natural fear is part of the problem with the whole wedding industry and putting so much focus on ONE day (although a very special day!). We've been trying to strike a balance between wedding planning and marriage planning, and we'll definitely keep reading and talking about marriage/family books after the wedding.

You and your FI will be just fine

The wedding is only a destination, but your marriage is a journey that will give you new projects to tackle together your whole life.

We will spend July getting his house ready to rent and then doing some remodelling to what will by then be OUR house. We will be attending a concert (my first!) in Indy in late July. Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney---I'm so excited!

FI and I aren't living together so we will have the adjustments of all of that funness!! FI needs to finish his degrees and then we want to move to israel in the distant but near future. so that is a goal of ours. plus having kids!!!!

don't worry, think about all of the time you will have to spend together with out have to worry if you should be doing something WR...

We don't have any huge plans. Mostly for him to finish school and make moves accordingly. Eventually, we will end up in Sarasota, FL and will probably have kids after that.
It's a lot in the next 4-5 years when you think about it. But, we can do it!

When Fi and I got engaged we both made it a priority not to make the wedding our whole life. We do this pretty easily because we are so busy in the last year between traveling to Costa Rica, down to Orlando to our hiking/camping trips and just are weekly things like sand v-ball, softball, and trivia. I got to say that Fi and I spend more time talking and planning the HM.

As for what's next after the wedding is our life! It will still be filled with travel as our relationship always has been. So far for 2013 is Chile and Patagonia (my dream places) and France and Seatle (Fi will begin traveling for work to those two places). Of course making the trek to Orlando several times to see his family and our new nephew. We will still keep up with our game and sports nights. We will truly be enjoying married life!

We haven't really been that consumed with wedding planning (aside from this past week!) so I don't think it will feel like a void. FI will be looking for a new job (possibly a new line of work) this Fall so that will be a change, but other than that we are just continuing our lives.

FI and I are definitely not concerned about having nothing in common once the wedding is done! we've been together for over 7 years and living together for more than 6 of the 7. Its only been the past year with all the wedding planning and we are both just ready for it to come and go!

After the wedding we are going to focus on remodeling our house and saving to take our dream vacation to Hawaii. And probably a couple of other vacations after that before we start having babies!!

We have many months planned, with a ton of weddings to attend, we hope to get back to cottaging, spending more time with friends and family, we have a Mexico trip in December for FI sisters wedding, hope to get some home projects complete, painting, etc.. and hope to be pregnant in a year or so... I'm really not to worried about the whole 'after the wedding', I have heard of many couples struggling though. I haven't let wedding planning consume us, we still have our lives, and it will be refreshing to get back to them

Very excited with what our future holds!

FI and I have very defined 'planning times'. It definitely hasn't become our relationship..we usually have to force ourselves to concentrate and get wedding stuff done. Post wedding new jobs for both of us in the next year probably. Likely a move to MI. In the next 2 years grad school for me. Lots of visiting friends, sporting events and trips too. Going out west for a ski trip this winter! I'm so excited for post wedding life!

Wedding planing has not consumed our relationship. We are very much still us and I know we will be after the wedding. After the wedding, I will be concentrating on finishing my last semester of grad school!!! I cant wait! FI will be starting his first semester of grad school. I plan on going for my doctorate in Educational Leadership next fall. I need a break!

We also talked about traveling and just living together. FI and I dont live together now but I spend time at his house.

I cant wait to become one and just be, if that makes sense. Oh and join the marriage ministry at our church!!

FI and I aren't really overly consumed with the wedding details. I have pretty much handled it all (FI didn't have any interest in details) and I started really early so it wouldn't be a lot all at once. FI has taken the HM and ran with it, so that's been his thing

We have a couple of mini-vaycays planned, and then TTC in Marchish 2013 (this isn't totally decided yet). FI has a cagillion projects all the time, so I'm not worried!

Wedding planning is consuming MY life more than it is our relationship, but this has made us closer because FI has been very supportive of my sudden transformation into a crazy person. I don't see it being a problem after the wedding because we've been together 5 years and wedding planning has only been the last 1.5 of it. We're best friends and I don't see how that would change once we have some time to CALM DOWN.

After the wedding we will both be working on our CPA licenses - FI starts a review course May 30, I plan to buy the review CDs after the wedding. We will also be either looking for a house or remodeling the one we currently live in. Once we get our CPAs, we're both getting new cars! But that is further down the line, probably 2013. We won't start TTC until late 2015, into 2016. We want to wait 4 years after the wedding to have our first, I'll be 24 when we get married so I think 28 is a good age for a first baby.

We are going to NJ in July to visit my parents and spend time in Cape May with my stepmom's family. FI has never been to NY so I hope to take a train up there with him to see some broadway shows.

Maybe in August or September we'll go back to his family's farm in Minnesota. They want to throw us a reception so I'll have another chance this year to wear my dress..

We've been talking a lot about kids. I want four, FI says maaaybe four but definitely three. He's turning 30 this year so we're going to start TTC around November or December. His original plan was to wait a year or two until our life is "settled" but sh!t always happens. Might as well start soon and enjoy the ride.

FI and I NEVER talk about wedding. Literally, never. So our relationship is the same now as it was 5 years ago. Nothing has changed.

We'll be focused on the same things we are currently focused on....even after the wedding. His career, making some major home improvements, and adjusting to living together.

we don't talk about the wedding that much anymore either. just odd comments here and there. We had most of it planned in the very beginning stages of our engagement. So the whole wedding planning is getting kinda old to me.

We are looking forward to living together finally, him passing his boards for his job, some minor renovations to the house and planning our anniversary trip. We want to get a lab puppy after we get back from the HM. I see us TTC in 2014.

We are having a desitination wedding, so we decided to book our honeymoon 2 solid months after our wedding due to our hectic work schedules and not wanting to ditch our clients for more than a month at a time. So we have that to look forward to after the wedding and we booked another cruise for New years eve 2013 and vegas in November for a friends birthday weekend. We're big on planning vacations and generally like the idea of something new to look forward to so i dont see much of the after wedding crash. Hopefully just a little relief from the stress!

I honestly think we'll go back to 'normal'. Things have been so crazy in the last few months that I think we'll both be glad for our focus (and funds) to be going to NWR things afterwards.

We'll be going on our HM in November (to avoid summer heat) at DisneyWorld. Our bff's are getting married in September & FI and I are both in their BP so we'll be keeping busy with all of that!
