I didn't select one.  We're taking a 10-day trip to Kuaui and Maui.  The "value" is above $5000, but we are using points, and paying nothing for hotel or airfare.

Ours is about 2600 for flight and all inclusive hotel.  If you add in all the rest (luggage, excursions, etc.) it will be over $3000 for 6 nights in the DR.

Maui and Kauai for 10 days. Ours is costing us $6500 right now for flights, condos, and car rental. We are saving our miles for a trip to Italy next year. Speaking of that, Meg, where are you staying? We are at Waipouli Beach Resort in Kauai and Honua Kai in Maui.

I selected $5,000+.  We're going to Tahiti for 11 days but we're waiting a week between the wedding and the honeymoon...need to get that money in the bank first :)

We going on a 2 week royal carribbean cruise in a balcony cabin.  We are also flying first class from Detroit to San Juan, Puerto Rico and back from Puerto Rico to Seattle, which made up about 50% of our total cost.  I think when all is said and done... we paid $1600 for flights and approx $2k for the cruise (we haven't booked any excursions yet so I rounded up and said $4k total)

We aren't completely sure yet where we will be going but my aunt is giving us her timeshare for a week to use so our hotel and some activities will be free.  Beyond that, our budget is ~$3,000.

I voted $5000+, but it's our gift from FH's family.  We're doing a 7 day cruise of the Greek Isles ($2400 with balcony rooms) and the flights are gonna cost about the same it seems.  Plus, we'll probably need a hotel for 2 nights in Venice.  However, we're going a month after the wedding (waaaay cheaper!) so we're doing a 2-night all-inclusive mini-moon to Mackinac Island for $947.  We're paying for that one.

Ours is 3000 for all inclusive in Peurto Vallarta, Mexico.  Our hotel also includes excursions in that price.  So we can swim with dolphins, go zip lining, golphing, swim with sea lions, etc.

We are possibly not going on a HM but buying a boat instead!  We have lake access and we really want a boat.  We'd still take the week off and hang out on the boat the whole time!  So I didn't pick a price because I have no idea how much it's going to be!

Everyones trips sound so amazing :)

    What is a balcony cabin/room?

We are planning a trip to Hawaii. Not sure which island... my sister highly recommended Maui.

Not exactly sure our budget. i anticipate spending around $3500- $4,000. (although i'm cheap and would like to keep it as low as possible.)

A balcony cabin is just and outside room on the ship with private baloncy access.

As for the islands, I second your sister's recommendation of Maui.  I looooved it.  Kauai is also very nice, but it's a little quieter and not very touristy.  The Big Island is loud and incredibly touristy.  Maui is a great mix of both. :)

Ours was $2500 for airfare and 7 days at the Royal Playa del Carmen, an all-inclusive right off of 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  We spent an additional $250 on excursions (snorkeling, Tulum ruins) and another $250 on souvenirs, airport snacks, tips, sunscreen, etc, etc.   The total then was $3000.

I would absolutely recommend an AI to anyone for their honeymoon.  It was super relaxing; we didn't have to worry about anything!  And, the Royal was totally wonderful, I would highly highly recommend it!

I chose 1,000, but ours will probably be less than that.  We're staying in FI's aunt and uncle's timeshare in Myrtle Beach, so we have so far only paid for flight and car rental which was about 500.  Then we'll have to factor in activities, gas, and food.

LOVE IT!  If we had somewhere to store the boat and lake access nearby...I'd recommend this idea to my FI.

We're staying at the St. Regis Princeville on Kauai and the Marriott Wailea on Maui.  Our points are from Starwood Hotels and Marriott.

Have you been to hawaii before?  We've been to Oahu (it's ok) and Maui (loved it).

We are going on a 7 night Mediterranean cruise and staying 3 nights in the port city.  We are just over $4500 for the airfare, cruise, and hotel rooms...but adding in our drink packages, excursions, spending money...we will be over $6000.

The honeymoon was a big priority to me, so we are spending a lot on it.

We haven't decided yet but we've found a week cruise to Belize, Cozumel, Isla Roatan, and Grand Cayman for $1,400 + airfare, alcohol, and excursions = $2,500ish ... We wanted something outta the country (so I wasn't tempted to use my phone) but yet not extremely expensive. I'd rather save money towards a down payment on a house!

We are planning on going to Hawaii for 2 weeks. It will be our first time going so we are super excited. We are planning on spending around $5,000.00. For all the knotties that are also going ot Hawaii can you tell me if you booked thru a travel agent or if you booked it yourself. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Meg - no we've never been to Hawaii before. We are so excited to go!!! Scgonzal - we booked on our own. TAs were too expensive - the trip would have been nearly double had we booked thru AAA. We used VRBO for the resorts, Delta for air, and Avis for car. We also bought the Kauai and Maui Revealed books on the recommendation of the HM board. They have been very interesting so far.

Ditto.  You really can book Hawaii yourself.  It's in the US, so you understand the legal system, etc.

We are booked on one airline out there (Delta) and are island hopping on Hawaiian Air (really your only option, but luckily pretty affordable).  Do you know what island you want to go to?  I have been to Oahu and Maui, and could give specific advice on those.  FWIW, I really recommend Maui, and parts of Oahu, but probably wouldn't want to do Waikiki beach on my honeymoon - it's just too busy and crowded.

We are doing a 5 day trip to Vegas, starting the day after the wedding. It is costing $930 with everything included. FH's parents go there a lot and used an agent to get a deal. So that was nice

Everyone's HMs sound wonderful and I hope everyone has a great time!

Meg and Rcj2rcd- Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of going to Maui and Oahu and trying to choose a third island. I'm also thinking of using VRBO.

Go to Kauai!! You won't be disappointed. It's gorgeous and a great place to go if you want to do some hiking.  I highly recommned hiking too, because a lot of the trials lead to waterfalls! It's also quiet so it might be nice to do in the middle/end of your trip to wind down a bit.

We're still debating what to do. We think we're going to do a mini-moon up north (Traverse or Mackinac) right after the wedding. Then go to the Carribbean in winter. Our wedding is 8/27/11, so it'll be hurricane season and still warm here. We'd rather go some place warm when we'll really appreciate it. Also, FI's job and school schedule work out better if we wait to take a long trip. We figure with both trips, it'll be around $4000.
