CN Version: Bed Bath and Beyond is rude, pushy and gives out registry cards for your invitations
Long Version:
We decided to go register last weekend because I was child free and wanted to get a general feel of what I wanted to register for.
This was probably the worse experience ever. First off I'm more then a year out from my wedding. We're registering early because one I don't have tons of time to register, two I wanted to get a feel of what to register for at Bed, Bath and Beyond and where to register else where.
We walk in and the "attendant" starts trying to sell us everything in the store. Telling us to register for stuff like towels even if I didn't know the colors I want yet because I can return them for a different color later duh(seriously?)
We registered for a grand total of 25 items, the big items we knew we needed and wanted on the registry. Mind you I'm OVER A YEAR OUT
The lady starts badgering us to put more stuff on or schedule a time to come back in later or later in the week to register again... really pushing. We explained again that we had over a year this was just a first pass we'd decide later on more things...
So she goes to get the registry list and comes back with I'm not kidding you about 10 packages of these little cards. She explains to me they're to put in my invitations.
Say what? I couldn't help myself I told her exactly "No thank you. Putting registry information in your invitations is extremely tacky and presumptious" she gawked at me like I was the one with bad manners.
Seriously who really does that? And Tsk Bed Bath and Beyond for helping enable those people ugh
