We met in Highschool ( I had a crush on his friend and ended up hanging around and got to know him instead) and dated our Junior and Senior years. I went off to college and we split up and didn't speak for almost 7 years.

We met up again in 2009 through facebook when he saw I was in HR and reached out to me to help him find a job. We started talking on the phone and seeing each other more often and we have been inseperable ever since!

We met through a mutual friend in college, he went to NJIT and I went to Rutgers-Newark (right accross the street from each other). One time I went to a meet the greeks at NJIT to support one of my friends who was stepping at the event. I remember being on the phone outside the student center and I seeing this cute guy, we just stared at each other and smiled. Then my other friend came over and we went in and I didn't see him again. After the event was over, I told my friend about the cute guy I saw outside the student center and being sneaky she tried to figure out who he was by asking around, it turns out it was her friend! She introduced us and then the rest of history ;]

Seriously...Myspace four years ago. LOL He was the only random guy that messaged me on there that I EVER responded to - and now we are getting married. haha I saw on his page that we shared a lot of common interests and it said he was getting his MBA at the time, so I figured he may actually be a normal human being and I should just respond and see what happens. I tell everyone the truth about how we met, but he's embarrassed by it and tells his friends we met through a mutual friend. lol

We graduated high school together, but didn't know each other. Our graduating class was almost 400. We were both friends with someone from high school that we kept in touch with afterwards and in his senior year of college came home for break. Our mutual friend asked if I wanted to go out with him and a bunch of friends and I said sure and met FI then. We've been together since and that was over 7 years ago!

We met working at Target while we were both in high school -- he was a senior and I was a junior. Turns out we lived in neighboring towns and had some mutual friends but had never met. Our college had a radio station, and I joined up in the early fall with a girlfriend. She had a class with MH, they became friends and she convinced him to join near the end of the fall semester right before winter break, and we met there. He IM'ed me a bit over the break, we became friendly once spring semester started, we went on a date in March and that's that.

at work - i'm a child life specialist and he was a resident doing a six week rotation in the pediatric OR. we were friendly with each other but because of my "no dating at work" rule, i never even considered him as possible boyfriend material. a year later, i ran into him at a work event and there was some great chemistry between us. i decided to ditch that silly rule and accepted his offer for dinner the next weekend. we dated for just over a year before he proposed in central park - our wedding is this may!

We both play hockey...I am a goalie and he is a forward. We were playing on opposite teams. Yes, I play in a men's league. Anyhow, he came down the ice and took a shot against me and I made a great save, which I still to this day don't know how I saved it. He was impressed, so after the game came over to me and we started talking. The guys from our teams were going out after the game to a bar down the street from the rink and he asked if I was going. I decided to go and we hung out and talked, and ended up going on a date a week later and here we are 5 years later! I guess it is a good thing that I played well that game or else maybe we would have never talked..LOL

About 2yrs. later, everything fell into place with us and we've been together ever since. We will be getting married 3 days after our 10 year anniversary. we met in high school in '98. we had a crush on each other but just remained friends. we then lost touch in '02 and were both in long relationships (him 6 yrs, me 7 yrs) then, we reconnected through facebook in '09 after a friend of his passed and i wrote to send him condolences. we've spoken every day since. he proposed 6 months later.

In my very first class in grad school! Everyone was nervous and sitting kinda quietly, until he cracked a joke and I laughed. A friendship developed, and two mutual friends - now married to each other - helped us realize we were meant for each other! Those friends are in our BP. :-)

And I have to mention my great aunt, who passed away last year at 100 years of age, told me for years that I should go to grad school b/c she was convinced I'd meet my match. Auntie Rose was a wise woman!

We went to high-school together but never even had a conversation. The december after we graduated high-school we ended up at a mutual friends party. He asked me to be his beer pong partner we ruled the table all night long. After that we started to talk on the phone and one date lead to another. After dating for 2 1/2 years (we dated from 18-21) I decided that I needed to be single for a while. I wanted to graduate college travel with friends and live with a girlfriend for a year since I never went away to school. I pretty much just wanted to discover who I was and figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Then 4 years later we both had shore houses a block away from one another in Manasquan. I texted him drunk my first weekend down the shore and now the rest is history. We own a house, a dog and we are getting married next summer.

I don't think we would have ever made it if we didn't take that 4 year break it gave us time to grow up and mature.
