We checked back into the Cotton Bowl just before halftime. A K-State guy got carted off the field. It was scary.
Now I'm watching House Hunters International. The couple is from Chicago, looking in Dubai, and he worked on the Burj Khalafi (spelling?). I know who he works for!! SOM was the structural engineer for that!
That must've happened just after I switched stations (or I was REALLY not paying attention).
I am hoping this will be a fairly low-key weekend. I am taking my friend's five year old son to the basketball game tomorrow afternoon so that should be fun. Otherwise I am hanging out at home and catching up on laundry and maybe some reading. On Sunday I'll go to church and watch the game, but that's about it. I'll also probably watch part of the press conference announcing the new head football coach tomorrow as well.
What I find to be funny (with the whole coaching hire, that is) is that the job was never posted as an open position at Penn State (or if it was I totally missed it).
Yup, I'm a Penn Stater. My BIL and two of my cousins are Pitt grads though, so you can imagine how fun family gatherings can be at times, especially when you add in an aunt & uncle (and their spouses) who are WVU grads.
Hi! I am here, watching the end of I am Legend. My friend just left. I was supposed to go to DC this weekend, but that fell through due to a doctor's appointment needing rescheduling.
Barrel, I want to go riding so bad. I might try for Sunday. The weather will be 50ish so I am hoping to go. Have you been riding this winter?

I keep turning it on and off. We tried to see it in the theater back in the day, but I was too scared. We left an hour into it. So basically I'm a masochist, and just keep switching it on and off. I couldn't watch the part with the puppy though! I had to go snuggle with own doggy.

OMG. WTF. Barrel, find out who did that, and I will drive out there and protest at their house. Seriously.
MP, I am TERRIFIED of the movie "Signs". It's not even scary, its the stupid suspense build up that gets me. And the fact that we are huge into aliens thanks to my mom being from Roswell, NM. Thinking about it makes me shudder.
I think I've only seen Signs on the TV, so I think I was distracted. That's the one with Mel Gibson, right?
I'm an terrified of being chased and never being safe, such as running from Zombies. Or you know in the Lord of the Rings (#1) when the horsemen are after them. After leaving I am Legend early, I still couldn't sleep that night. I kept picturing him hanging there waiting to be eaten.
Signs was the M. Night Shamalan (spelling?) movie. I was crying and screaming and my boyfriend at the time was aboslute ZERO help. I wanted to leave, but he would not let me. He had already seen the movie, too. So it was even worse.
Nicki, that just sounds cruel. After watching IAL through my fingers for 45 minutes, Matt decided we should leave.
Now I need to watch some Friends or something to make sure that I don't have nightmares. I already had some this week after reading Hunger Games. It was to be expected though.

You must have changed it right after K-State scored. That's when we turned it on. There were only 25 seconds left when the injury occured.
We don't have too much this weekend. I'm supposed to run 6 miles for my half-marathon training!! Luckily, it's supposed to be 50 degrees tomorrow!
ETA: Penn State hired the guy who yells at Tom Brady? Thank goodness you've got a new coach, though!
Penn State is officially announcing that the offensive coordinator of the Patriots will be taking over as head coach tomorrow morning.

The weather here was gorgeous today! I went for a walk this afternoon to go pick up lunch and I was SO glad I did not take my coat along.
I thought that you went to Penn State, but then I was thinking about how they were joking on ESPN that it was time for Pitt's annual coaching change.
Yeah, my cousins went to IU, so we have a fun banter. Then my brother loves Ohio State. So glad we beat them (again) in football this year.
I was all set to turn the Cotton Bowl back on, but saw that Friends is on right now so I put that on instead.
Have fun with friends. I just about turned on "I am Legend", but I don't want to see the puppy get hurt!
We just went to Cafe Ole for dinner and now we're watching Parenthood.
