    i grew mine out for the wedding. see the first pic i posted? it's the longest my hair has ever been. ever.

    I have hydrocephalus and had a brain shunt inserted in October to help relieve the pressure in my brain and ease the headaches. 
    I also cannot keep a plant alive to save my soul and could never use medical marijuana.  I smoked pot in high-school, 30 years ago, and it always gave me the munchies! Can't afford to eat too much munchie food at my age.  I would love to take something else besides the heavy narcotics I take now though.

    hmmm..it seems to me i might be the onlyone on this board that smokes just because i feel like it lol  but i need to stop bc i get major munchies and i only smoke when its time for bed cuz it helps me sleep, but then i'll be lying there watching tv and then i want to eat. too many sweets late at nite=fat(ter) ass!

    This is very similar to intracranial hypertension (what I have). Some of the people with it have to have brain shunts as well, but thankfully, I don't need that yet. My head gets super filled with CSF and that puts a lot of pressure on the brain and optic nerves causing blindness and severe headaches.

    I actually looked up intracranial hypertension when you posted because I thought it must be similar.  Did it just start all of a sudden?
    My headaches started about 3 years ago and I have had a constant headache ever since.

    On the super fun medical front - I was diagnosed last year with an autoimmune disease. They're trying to figure out whether it is Rheumatoid Arthritis or Lupus (the doctor's haven't been very helpful, but the medication they put me on has definitely helped with the joint flare-ups)

    One of the best times of my life was when I lived in New Zealand for 3 months for an internship - I did lots of crazy things: got my first tattoo, skydived, hiked a glacier. I also visited Australia and went scuba diving off the Great Barrier Reef.

    Interesting part of my relationship: My FI smokes almost every day and I don't touch the stuff. It's caused a few problems in the past, but so long as he's doing something with his life I could care less.

    I'm really late into this but I can't think of anything super exciting about me... I'm half-Korean but mostly don't look it (whereas one of my other sisters does completely). And my grandmother told me once that I was going to hell because I have multiple piercings and tattoos and am planning on getting more tattoos.

    Speaking of hair - ugh - I'm having an internal hair panic right now.  I dyed my hair black a month ago (not for Halloween) and while it was fun to freak Mom out well, it's REALLY showed how thin my hair is.  It's also very fine (baby fine) and I've noticed more how much it's been coming out.  While I have seen new growth, I never really noticed when it's red just how thin on top it is. 
    I just bought this hair system thing that was touted on the new radio channel I listen to - ovation hair system - I read mixed reviews so here's hopin it works.  Everything says not to do anything new or different 6 months before your wedding so well, I"m at about the 8 month mark so hopefully I don't lose all my hair!!

    It is a good point, but I'm not as concerned with talking about smoking pot on an online forum where we're not using our real names (though I did remove a post that talked about other people - my choice is mine to make,)  I certainly hope the sekrit gobermentz internertz watchdogs have better things to worry about.  Also: Pot is a low priority crime for my area.
