Sept, that sounds miserable. Hope you can escape for the evening sooner rather than later. LP, that sounds very nice. Our house is 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, but it's only 1200 sq feet. (Pushing 2000 if you count the basement, but that's not how we do things up here). I love it though. Hope you find something you love!

<div>Thanks!  I never understood why basements aren't counted in square footage (finished basements, that is) They aren't here, either.  It's livable area, so why shouldn't it count?  Basements are really rate around here though, which is weird for me since I'm from places where everyone has a basement.  </div><div>

I love looking at houses but I don't really want to buy one. Whenever we go out of town I always try to pick up the local homes for sale magazine. The decorating and designing of a home is apealing but not the upkeep. I like living vicariously through other people's home buying though.

• Celtic- I too love at looking at houses.  H and I have been looking for funsies for the past couple of weeks. We don't really want to by for another year yet, but if we came across a house we loved that was well below our budget, I think we would go for it.

• Good evening!

I'm here.  I missed all the chat threads today because I was out running errands with FI all day.  We finally have reliable Internet at the apartment now.  Turns out, a circuit was fried in my modem, so sometimes it would connect and sometimes it wouldn't.  Before we left for vacation last week, it completely died.  We went to Time Warner to go exchange it and I got a new (and better, I think) one.

• I'm here- just got home from work and now I'm watching an episode of The Walking Dead.  They had a marathon last weekend and I'm slowly working my way through all the episodes.

Hey, y'all want to see what I can home to today?
Evening! Anyone need a laugh?  The dog puked on the couch while we were at work so we came home to a mess. It must have just been watery stuff, but it left a nice freaking stain on the couch. I feel like my couch got drunk and someone drew on it with a Sharpie.  My parents are coming on Friday so fingers grossed the Bissell got it out so there is not a wiener on my couch.
Posted by ILoveMilkDuds
Your dog puked a penis on the couch? Cool!

I'm here, we're watching SYTYCD, just got back from puppy classes. I've been sick for days now, so I've been sleeping a lot, need to get back to work tomorrow.

Cali-  That sucks.  My parents came home to something similar to that one day when my brother's dog was staying with them.  He was in my brother's room while they were at work/out and I guess he tried to dig his way out lol.  They ended up duct taping the carpet back together.  (It was due to be replaced soon anyways)

ETA:  Duds, as much as that sucks, that is too funny.  I really hope it comes out for you though.

• Oh sorry but that stain is pretty funny! I hope it comes out. Looking at the price of real estate elsewhere in the country depresses the snot out of me. It is so expensive here. :( like, $500/square foot in the neighborhood we want. Minimum. :(
• There was apparently a thunderstorm near the house while I was at work and the dog freaked out.  I think he was trying to dig his way out of the bedroom.  Where he thought he was going after that, I have no idea.

<div>They didn't realize how much energy Buddy had.  He became an inside/outside dog soon after that.  They would put him outside in the backyard with plenty of food and water whenever they went somewhere.  After they got back, he got let in the house.  He did just fine with that arrangement, as long as he got to be with them when they were home.  </div>

• Cali, that sucks.

Has anyone used a Thunder Shirt for their dog during storms?  Did it help? Lucy is fine, but my parents dog Riley gets really nervous during storms.  She shakes and cries and cowers in the corner/against people's legs. I wonder if a Thunder Shirt would help her.
image
• The storms were pretty bad here too.  My parents got hit really hard in the Houston area.  They have water in their yard, and my aunt and uncle across the street had at least 2 inches of water in their house.
knotsigpicture Anniversary
• He's always gotten nervous and paces but he's never tried to claw his way out of the room before.  Granted we used to keep him crated while we were out but started just keeping them in the bedroom instead a while back. I don't think we've ever had a thunderstorm during the day while we weren't here since we've started keeping them in the bedroom.  I think we're going to have to go back to crating him during the day.

• Yeah, I think I might invest in one of those.  i was considering it after I saw that thread.  The only reason I hesitated was because the reviews on effectiveness seemed mixed but hey, it can't hurt and maybe it will save him from destroying anything else.

The good news is that we'll be getting hardwood floor or tile for the bedroom as soon as we can afford it,.  It will be sooner than I was planning on doing it but I did want to replace the carpet anyway.

• Holla ladies! H is sleeping and because it is summer, I have to be in work a little later, so I have been going to bed a bit later. I love and hate this schedule because I get out earlier and only work Monday to Thursday, but what sucks is that I am the only one with a full caseload (none of my kids left), so I have to cram 5 days of work into 4 shortened days. Andplusalso, I found out today that I have to plan a field trip for next week. AWESOME!

I proposed Liberty Science Center and was semi shot down. Listen Arseholes, you are giving me a week (but really only a day because it needs to be paid by tomorrow), and some trips require 2 weeks in advance, so you will take what I can get....OR ELSE
